Wanted to test the knowledge of the ESB crowd. The goal is simple name the fight or card these fighters were last seen on an undercard (i.e. not in the Main Event). Don't have to name them all just the ones you know.A few I know, a few I'm curious about!

    Floyd Mayweather Jr.
    Manny Pacquiao

Man, that's tough. Without searching the net, I can only remember one on your list.

Pacquiao in 2001 against Ledwaba...undercard on a Dela Hoya fight(forgot he was fighting with at that time).

Was Pacquiao on the Lewis/Tyson undercard. That was 2002 I think.

As he said without using boxrec this is hard. Also would guys like Leonard and Hoya ever have been on the undercard given there fame coming out of the olympics. Apparently Leonard got $40,000 for his first fight which i'm sure was considered huge at the time.

Oscar De La Hoya wasn't his last time on an undercard when he fought Felix Strum (2004) on a Bernard Hopkins card? What a horrible performance btw... I remember him looking "fat-ish" that night lol... As far as his undercard before his 1st Main Event... haha I'm lost...

I remember Hopkins fighting that night as well might have been a co-main event but Hoya is definitely the bigger attraction of the two.

DLH-Sturm was the main event. It was a weird situation, with Hopkins fighting in Oscar's shadow that night but he was the MW champ that Oscar was hoping to challenge (once he got through Sturm).

Yes. We were discussing that last week, in a thread about how Showtime commentators would respond to Pacquiao. That Lewis-Tyson PPV was the last time Pacquiao had been involved in a Showtime production of any sort.

It was actually a collaborative PPV put on by HBO and Showtime together (only time ever, I think), with Lampley calling the play by play and some Showtime guy doing color commentary.

They should do something similar to that with Mayweather and Pacquaio... I remember what did they call it night of champions or something? They could have Mayweather and PAC fight on the same card and then fight at a later day if they both win... Doesn't have to be PAC and May on the same card it could work with any up and comers etc...

Pacquiao and Mayweather's egos are to big at this stage. One would not take second billing to another even if it was promoted as a co-main event.

Dont mean to turn this into yet another Mayweather/Pacquiao thread.

Without using boxrec off the top of my head.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Castillo 2 undercard of Wlad vs. Mcline
Manny Pacquiao - Manny when he fought on the undercard of Morales vs. Raheem.
Roy Jones Jr. - Guess: When he fought Hopkins the first time?
Bernard Hopkins - Undercard of Sturm vs. DLH
Oscar De La Hoya -Guess: Undercard of Roy vs. Toney? Don't really know
Shane Mosley - Undercard of Barrera vs. PEdan I think.
Juan Manuel Marquez - Undercard of Corrales vs. Castillo?
Andre Berto - Undercard of JMM vs. Katsidis
The Kiltschko Brothers - Vitali no idea..Wlad against Williamson?
James Toney - Against Montell Griffin? No idea
    Mike Tyson - no idea
Sugar Ray Leonard - No idea
Tommy Hearns - no idea but my guess is on undercard of Ray leonard before they fought or vice versa
    Marvin Hagler - no idea
    Roberto Duran - No idea
Jermaine Taylor - Undercard of Hopkins vs. Eastman
Tito Trinidad - Probably undercard of a Chavez fight, no idea honestly.

    How did I do?

I have a feeling Wlad was fighting on the Lewis-Tyson undercard, but I have no idea if that was the last time he fought on an undercard. **** knows.

Alright fine but what about with other fighters that aren't quite at that status? Just an example... Saul Alvarez vs (Good Test) and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr vs (Good Test). Would hype up a potential fight a lot, especially, if they both win in great fashion.
