Prime Floyd Patterson in 1960 vs any top 20 HW nowdays. He weights only 190 lbs, but is still "cruiserweight". His trainer was Cus D'amato. Look his fight and give your opinion how he would do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0-RDDyNw_g

He'd beat Povetkin, Adamek, Jennings, Cunningham and Banks. He should also be able to beat Solis and Chisora.
The rest , despite not being on his level athletically or skill wise, would be a little too big for him.

Floyd was pretty good but he was unlucky to be around with atgs stomping his pitch up almost as soon as he won the title.

one way to think of it would be like this - imagine wlad winning his first world title and then running into ali foreman liston and frazier - wlad would be swiftly deposed and become a one hit wonder like Floyd was, never again able to win the crown after liston.

Floyd could beat everyone on that list but the Wlad K , Wlad would hold the edge in close points fights although with his fast hands, good stamin and accuracy he might edge out the less skilled vitali (since we all know LH Byrd did a number on SHW Vits).

He would be favored over everyone but Wlad as a Great Champion should be. He would have ripped Povetkin to shreds.

Nah. Ingo was a solid technican with a dynamtie right hand. He nearly killed Eddie Machen, who was a better boxer than Huck and Chambers. Ingo also destroyed his era's Tyson Fury, Hein Ten Hoff, in one round.

Patterson was past his best against Quarry and still arguably won those fights. Quarry and Povetkin are on the level as technicans, and Quarry was the tougher minded fighter with harder punches and faster hands.

Povetkin would be 195-200 if he wasn't so soft and pudggy, Quarry and Ingo were cut from stone. They knocked out guys with 20-30 lbs on them. Povetkin hasn't destroyed somebody like Mac Foster.

Patterson would have ate Povetkin up, too fast. Povetkin has skills but is too slow, would have to try to bull in and pressure like he did against Huck and Chambers, and Patterson would just tear into him with combos. Wlad has the tools to beat Patterson, but I don't think anyone else does.

Patterson weighed in the upper 180s in his prime. This is what most LHWs weigh on fight night nowadays. Today he would drain down to 175, and most likely be the undisputed champ there. Although if he were to put on some weight with age and eventually move to Cruiser and HW, He could probably outbox some the smaller guys like Adamek etc.

There is no way to compare fighters from diferent times without transplanting one of them into the other's and making the necessary adjustments.

Mankind and athletes evolved in size since Patterson was around. So if Patterson was around today he would be 6'2, 215lbs HW, instead of the small fighter of the past.

Considering the adjustment, the size factor that hurts him in many of the matchups disappears and I would favor him against everyone, but Wlad, Haye and Pulev.

Povetkin, Chisora, Wilder, Helenius and Stiverne would be very live underdogs against Patterson, maybe 50-50, with a legit chance for an upset.

In the top 20 list, Haye, Stiverne and Helenius are missing. Hammer, Teper and Banks don't belong there.

-We are talking about the dude's on the list.

-Yep, HWs were lighter than with no CW division to force guys to add fat or muscle to clear the limit. Patterson at a comfortable 190-195 lbs was perhaps fastest HW in history with enough power and snap to do damage to anyone. Add 10 lbs to his lean frame and you have everything that David Haye claimed to be.

-I don't think he had a very very bad chin. He was only knocked out by two great finishers in Liston and Ingo, and avenged the later twice over. He could be prone to knockdowns but beat plenty of good punchers and got off the canvas to win or fight well.

-Many? Name some from the list. Patterson's vulernabitliy to punchers is exaggerated, sure, there are many that could knock him down but to keep him down and win the fight is another story. I don't see anybody outboxing him in today's CW or HW ranks outside of Wlad. The better technicans Huck, Adamek, Chambers, and Povetkin would be at too much of a speed and even power disadvantage. .
