I took it as this as well, don't worry - the joke didn't get lost. I thought listing Jorge Paez Jr., who's already been starched by a journeyman, made it pretty obvious :good

Denis Boystov is an excellent heavyweight prospect with a ton of potential. Both Peterson brothers look like they could ascend to the upper echelon of their divisions with the lighter on at least being able to achieve and maintain gatekeeper status. Rey Bautista has the tools to be champ hopefully he isn't rushed on pure talent and power because he's still raw. Whatever happened to Vincente Escobedo?

RayRay, you took the ones I would have listed, probably due to our common allegiance towards Detroit fighters. I like Banks, Paris, and Lee. Not so much sold on Tyner, but he could convince me.

Outside of the 313, I like Berto a lot. He's got a lot of comp in that division, though.

Vernon Paris impressed me in his last fight. He fought the guy who knocked Jorge Paez out. He show'd a good chin by standing there and tradin with a guy who could punch and knocked him out. Paris is only 19 he's got speed & power but he needs to stay in shape.

Andre Ward is far from a lock. Personally, I don't see it. Both he and Rock Allen translated better in the amateurs than the pros.

Agreed. I can't see him not getting KO'd by Cotto or Cintron, either, because I don't think he'll be able to take either of their punches for a full fight. At another division (154 maybe), he'd have a chance...but at Welterweight? No way does he become "the guy"- but an alphabet title is possible with the right matchmaking.
