    None

Langford was great but too small

Quarry does not have enough to keep Tyson away from him

Tyson's chin is too good for punchers like Lyle, Cooney or even Shavers to pull off an upset

I don't think I'd say "excellent" to define their chances. Maybe they'd have the best chances of the bunch. I can see all of them being stopped fairly quickly.

If you'll give Dempsey a chance, what about Marciano? Some would say he's better than Dempsey and he beat the better fighters.

Yeah I don't like any of their chances either but I'd be hard pressed to find anybody with better chances than them.

IMO theirs not one thing Marciano did, Dempsey didn't do much better. I give Marciano absolutely no chance against the more modern heavyweights. As a matter of fact I belive Tyson is the absolute worst match up for him. Yes worse than Liston, and Foreman.

Well some argue that perhaps he hit harder than Dempsey and some on here argue that H2H he'd have beaten Jack. I'm not saying he would, but I honestly can't dismiss that possibility that not only might he win, but win via stoppage vs Dempsey.

I agree that Tyson would perhaps be the worst match up for him.

I don't see Marciano beating Willard quite as quick nor as devestating as Dempsey did. Dempsey was also so much faster, and more explosive, and visually looked to me the harder puncher. Only area I can give Marciano an advantage in is stamina.

There have been a lot of great contenders in the past that would stylistically be very tough matchups for Iron Mike. Just to name a few I think Roscoe Toles, Godoy, Jimmy Young, Archie Moore (1953 or before), Tommy Farr, Ernie Terrell, Jerry Quarry, Bonavena, and Buster Mathis (in shape) all have a good chance of beating a young Mike Tyson.

Jimmy Young would have been tough for Mike, but Mike might have won a SD. Tony Tucker was a fine fighter and a champion, a good boxer. Same with Tony Tubbs. Mike beat them both. Archie Moore would have been tricky.

There are just not a lot of non-champions I can see beating Iron Mike. Chuvalo could have taken the abuse for longer than most, but he would have succumbed.

The Cooney who beat Norton might have lasted to a decision, but total UD for Mike (at the least). Shavers might have knocked him down, but Earnie couldn't have held up against Mike any longer than he did Lyle.

Tyson at 16 was kicking the ass of jimmy young, they were sparring partners. Prime Tyson destroys Jimmy young,a pasive cute boxer who could not break an egg was meat for Tyson.
Cooney would get knocked out early
