Dont get me wrong. I'm not racist and I love having all different cultures lviving here in the UK. but If both their parents are of the same nationality or two different nationalities that is not the UK, then in no way can they be truly British in my opinion
UK In no order: David Haye Amir Khan Carl Froch Rendall Munroe Kell Brook Nathan Cleverly Ryan Rhodes Sam Sexton Paul McCloskey Darren Barker/Matthew Macklin (Depending on who wins)
How can McCloskey be British if he fought for Ireland in the amateurs despite his parents, grandparents etc all coming from the same place as him?
So then being that both my patients were born in Cuba but my sister and I were born here we are not "truly British"?
I dont really think amateur laws are very strict or particularly to the rules in Ireland are they with all the religion bull**** clouding the isle.
Not in my opinion no. Got nothing against anyone with the same situation with you and anyone is more than welcome in the UK IMO (not that its my decision to decide). I just wouldn't consider you truly British but you are a British national/citizen.
yeah maybe your write on this. its all national pride bollocks realy. its a very difficult subject to come to any real conclusion. is macklin any more british than amir khan??? no not atall. but theres no call for amir khan to not represent the uk. accept from racsists who dont like him. i suppose the only way you can do it is allow these top ten lists to share fighters. in macklins case both ireland and england have a claim for produsing him. he was born in ireland with irish parents but he trained lived and was educated in england and has a english accent and passport.
