Not a huge fan of this guy but he was near perfection this day. That was no slouch he was in there with.

Duran v Palomino is also my favorite masterclass performance.
    Kalambay v McCallum 1
    Holmes v Shavers 1
    Toney v Holy
    Eddie Gregory v Marvin Johnson
    James Scott v Eddie Gregory
    Duran v DeJesus III
    Monzon v Napoles
    Napoles v Griffith
Sanchez v little red 1&2 are just too hard to go back and watch.
Hearns v Benitez was a very fine display of Hearns technical skills
Toney v McCallum 1&2 by both men
    Just some of my favorites

Good list, awesome. I’d add Pops vs Gregory what do you think? I reckon it was a bit better than Scott vs Gregory IMO, I thought I’d never forgive Mustafa for his fight with Snipes LOL but that fight against Pops…

Though this one might not qualify as elite. When SweetPea made a pitstop at 140 he faced contender Harold Brazier. A good solid fighter. Pea put on a under the radar boxing masterpiece. You might have to be a nerd like me to notice it.

Have you seen Harada vs Lionel Rose? Might be too competitive but it’s a GREAT fight, technical stuff… I’ll also add Khakor Galaxy mastering Sung Kil Moom in the rematch… Jiro Watanabe vs Gilberto Roman? I’m having a tricky time picking a McGirt fight, so pick any of his best wins and take them for a spin.

Duran win was his best, he outclassed him, shame he couldn't beat Leonard.

I came on here to address Benitez v Duran, but see it's been mentioned a couple of times. Thought it was brilliant the way Benitez contained Duran and even had the gall to body-punch him late in the fight. It was sheer brilliance

Also, the counter-punching display by Marlon Starling against Lloyd Honeyghan was worth applause.

I remember (misremember?) Carl Froch utterly picking apart King Arthur Abraham. Absolutely punch perfect, restrained, disciplined, looked like a different breed of fighter.

Mayweather-Corrales. An ATG slickster/technician at his very best, captured in solid film quality from the proper angles, available on YouTube. Mayweather was brilliant in that fight, in all regards, and aggressive as hell.

To anyone who is a Mayweather hater and hasn't seen the fight -- please go watch it. You may come away hating him a bit less.

His punch selection and variety, especially jabbing to head and body, plus his footwork was so smooth, quick and precise.

Sometimes a fighter is so good that they look like a matador in the ring, just operating at a different speed level to their opponent. I know that Chico had issues coming into the fight, but this was a complete dismantling - PBF rates very high H2H at 130 lbs for me and this fight demonstrates exactly why.
