Any thoughts on this overlooked Ghanian fighter? Konadu was a good solid boxer/puncher with heavy handed power and physically strong. Was champion at Super Flyweight and Bantamweight with notable victories over Gilberto Roman and Veeraphol Sahaprom. He also fought and lost to Sung Kil Moon and Johnny Tapia.

Stylistically he reminds me of Ike Quartey. He's a fighter that seems underappreciated now, especially given his impressive wins over Roman and Sahaprom. Talented fighter as he was though he did waste 4 years of his career fighting out in Spain against no-names.

If you haven't seen his first fight against Moon do so. One of the best small weight slugfests. His fight against Sahaprom was also a nice short war as well.

Very underappreciated boxer imo, although Sahaprom was a bit inexperienced in pro boxing at the time, Konadu still blew up a future long reigning champ in him.

I might need to watch his fight with Roman though.
