But you pick a guy who's been nowhere as dominant and arguably lost to Figs, who's susceptible to body shots (an Inoue specialty), to beat Inoue. That's literally hate. One could pick MJ to beat Inoue because he's bigger, with good technical boxing skills, and power. Those reasons make sense.
Being dominant in smaller weight classes is irrelevant in this situation. Fulton is the naturally bigger guy, has skills and is a dog in his own right. Inoue will be favored but beating an ancient Donaire doesnt prepare you for what hes about to potentially face at 122. Im not impressed the same way you are. Fulton will beat him.
Ive seen guys like Mullings beat Norris, guys like Valenzuela beat Wiliams, guys like Mayorga beat Forrest, ect. Just because a fighter doesnt look as dominate as the opponent hes facing doesnt mean he doesnt have a chance. Look at Douglas, Holyfield and Randall for example. @Paranoid Android
TERRIBLE comparison. You have it switched up. Inoue's not Mayorga, Mullings, and Valenzuela. And if that's not what you meant, Norris, Williams, and Forrest weren't known to be P4P 1/2 or elite of the elite. The simple matter is that you have one guy who has knocked almost everyone out across 3 weight divisions, has lost only 6 rounds (none of them in which he was dominated/beaten up) in his enter career... And another guy who became champion in 2021, is a light puncher, is susceptible to the body, and arguably should have lost his titles against a drained opponent in Figs. Emotion/Haterade drives your pick, not logic.
