Naoya Inoue’s skills - how would you rate them?

He is doing what he needs to do with his power and accuracy.


Inoue was very impressed with Loma beating Nakatani. with pure skills and movement.

 

One thing that always gets me about him is how high his chin is, that’s the most glaringly obvious flaw in his game as far as I can see

 

I rate his skills as excellent, he's a high IQ fighter. Has a snapping power jab that can stop you in your tracks or blind you to power shots. Excellent balance and footwork, can create angles and make you miss. Can check hook you or counter your with a right and put you out. Fighting him you have a lot to think about because he also has vicious body (liver) shots. If you decide to fight fire with fire, his superior speed and combos get there first. If you decide to move and box, he can cut off the ring and still cut the distance fast to punish you with long extension shots. He also seems to have an excellent chin.

The only issue is when he feels you have nothing and then lowers his hands coming in, some bigger accurate fighters can make him pay. I think it's going to take someone at a much higher weight to beat him. We'll see what happens in a few days but he's a problem because his complete skill set.
