Narvaez was ancient and Inoue dwarfed him. Kono coming off a loss against Concepcion when Donaire beat him and is average anyway. Taguchi and Hernandez... meh. Crawfords resume take a huge steaming dump on Inoues.

It’s just funny how you **** on Crawfords resume but fail to have the same energy for Inoues which is much, much thinner. No consistency.

Please don't try and look intelligent. It's blatant that you're only boxrec smart. Taguchi is a brilliant little fighter. Labelling him meh is one of two things; ignorance or disingenuity.

Statements like these can only really be made after the close of a fighter's career.

Too much to go wrong in the meantime.

He’s lost to two nobodies and Inoue but who’s he beaten? Meh. If he was on Crawfords resume you’d call him a bum. Consistency is key friend.

His defence is pretty good for an aggressive fighter, he rolls with shots well, but he could move his head more. He's more a catch and counter type rather than a slick, elusive counter type, he obviously won't ever be a defensive wizard but he won't eat shots like Golovkin does as he's more an aggressive counter puncher than a seek and destroy fighter like GGG.

His movement is decent too, like how he circles when he jabs, he isn't just there right in front of you. Overall yes I'd say he's a pretty complete fighter or at least a very well rounded fighter with a few exceptional attributes, but not perfect, nobodies perfect.

Donaire did more than just land 2 bombs though, he was later in the fight countering Inoue's jab with the straight right hand and landing a lot which lead to the 2nd big shot that hurt him. Most people don't risk throwing the right lead as much as Donaire did as the trip hammer check hook counter is a big weapon in Inoue's arsenal but Donaire has the chin to get away with it and was willing to eat the odd bomb to land his right.

Yes Inoue out boxed him for most of the fight, he's not just a puncher, the movement the jab the speed allowed him to rack up points, but I don't think he's a master out boxer by any stretch of the imagination, he's good but there are better out boxers at bantam, such as Rigo.

I would of liked to see Inoue go to the body more too in the Donaire fight, he got sucked into head hunting in the middle rounds, his variety is an asset but against Donaire he didn't mix it up as much as usual and we saw what happened when he went downstairs again late in the fight. So Inoue has room to improve still, I think he's far from the finished article yet at least I hope there's more to come.

Inoue is most definitely a master boxer. You're getting caught up in the idea that master boxers are defensive wizards. Marquez was a master boxer and he got hit much, much more than Inoue. Rigo has taken much more punishment than Inoue.

Please tell me where I'm wrong.

Power: A+ (his jab is almost a power punch; knocked and/or dropped guys with both hands to both sides of the head and body — let this sink in)
Speed: A- (he's extremely quick of hand)
Footwork: A+ (he's always in a position to land hard shots; I don't see wasted punches from this guy)
Ring IQ: A+ (he does basically whatever he wants)
Timing: A+ (nothing needs to be said here)
Ring Cutting: A+ (he's incredible at cutting opponents off)
Defense: A- (like I said, he doesn't get hit anymore than Clenelo/Crawford/Lomachenko)
Punch Selection: A+ (no one in the game is better)
Chin: A+ (ate 2 nuclear bombs from Donaire and stayed up; wasn't wobbled or on shaky legs)

No need to give it more time to acknowledge this. He's been dominant/elite since Narvaez (6 years ago). I'm not even hyping this dude. It just is what it is.

This is all observable and more importantly, proven against world class opponents. And Inoue has been demonstrating these observable traits since like his 4th pro fight almost 8 years ago.

He's a very good fighter but he scraped past old Donaire. Inoue needs to pass another big test with flying colours.

You're really underrating these guys who are far from average.
Narvaez and Taguchi in particular were great wins.
