He's a good boxer not a master boxer, just because a fighter can box a bit doesn't make them a master boxer. That's too hyperbolic a statement to make in regards to Inoue.

Marquez was a superb boxer true but I don't think Inoue has proven he's at that level yet and even if he has, Marquez while a good boxer has been out boxed a number of times during his career not sure he ranks as a true master boxer which I'd use as a description for guys like Mayweather, Hopkins, Whitaker, there's very good even great boxers but then there's the true masters, guys who out box almost everybody.

As for ring IQ he's only been tested once vs Nonito as you say he usually does what he wants because he hasn't faced much adversity. It's easy to look in control when your opponent is over matched. How does he cope when he's being out boxed, out slugged, out worked etc, that's a real test of ring IQ, so far he's just been able to rely on his speed, power and youth. I don't think he's shown he has elite level ring IQ yet.

As for his ring cutting it's good but most opponents come to him, stand in front of him or get countered by his speed when they attack so he doesn't need to cut the ring off that much. Wait until he fights Rigo a real mover and someone who can and likely will out box him, then we'll see how good his ability to cut the ring off is.

He’s fun to watch and keeps getting better. I like the fact that he seems to be willing to fight anyone and is very disciplined. Enjoying his fights and looking forward to see how long he can be this dominant. Not ready to make any all time great statements at this time. Let’s just enjoy the ride for a while. I’ll give him major props for not ducking top challengers like so many stars of the sport seem to do these days. He’s in my top three favorites list of active boxers. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him at the top if he continues on this path.
