Both Clenelo & Inoue are @ top however you flip it.
Well that's how I see it.

Barely losing rounds doesn’t mean anything unless they were highly ranked opponents. It’s cool seeing Inoue wipe most of them out but they’re not on the same level as the guys that Canelo dealt with, let’s be real. Saunders and Plant are far more impressive fighters than guys like Dasmarinas and Maloney. Inoue has old Donaire and as good of a win as that is it’s not enough to have him ranked higher than Canelo. Canelo actually CLEANED the division. We have yet to see Inoue do anything like that.

Saunders has looked like hot garbage since the Lemieux fight. How long ago was that?

Plant struggled in beating Uzgategui and since fought Lee, Feigenbutz, and old and shot Truax (and looked bad doing it).

So yeah, Saunders and Plant both suck.

    :deal:

If you want to be impressed with Clenelo's path to undisputed, by all means. But most people know that the division is garbage. Even Benevidez, the biggest threat to Clenelo, hasn't really fought anyone.

The plan for Inoue is Casimero and then Donaire/Gaballo.

He doesnt have the resume to back it out although its a good resume just not as good as Canelos and Usyk. Had he fought the likes of Choco,Estrada and SSR there wouldnt be any doubt but for some reason that i dont know he didnt and that hurts his standing and his next fight against some garbage picker from Thailand doesnt help either. From a fan standpoint its frustrating seeing your fav fighter waste one year with two garbage fights.

Got some guys in this thread more or less calling Donaire ancient. I won't argue past prime.
As you say though, Donaire has shown he is quality since fighting Inoue.

Donaire was almost 37, but he was still 36.

While I consider myself a bit of an Inoue fanboy,

Even i'd think calling him p4p no1 is a bit of a stretch, IMO he still needs a couple of big names on his resume to really be in consideration for that no 1 spot, that is a good thing imo as most of his story has not been written yet. Not particularly excited for that Aran fight in December tho, did read somewhere however that he is just keeping himself busy whilst setting himself up for a big unification bout in April 2022, bear in mind he did offer the december 2021 fight to rau shee warren and gary antonio russell who since turned him down, despite GAR stating on video how much he'd like to fight the monster.
