source : http://www.asianboxing.info/asian-n...s-naoya-inoue-is-looking-to-unify-in-december eyeing off a unification fight with Jerwin Ancajas in december how do you guys see this play out. i actually have never seen jerwins fights but based on his boxrec he has only fought outside of his native phillipines twice and does not seem to have much in the way of high level opposition on that resume. i think the monster stops him late leading to either the superfight with chocolotito (iv spoken to mr ohashi personally on this subject and his eyes lit up at the mention of the name, he seemed incredibly confident) or a fight with luis conception for the WBA. personally i would love to see inoue skip jerwin as i do believe he is above him and face concepcion who is a good fighter before the mega fight early 2017 with chocolotito. but then i remember inoue has only fought 11 times and most guys dont get title shots until atleast 20 so you can hardly accuse him of taking the easy road if he chooses jerwin
Inoue and Ohashi are going to be ringside for chocolotitos upcoming fight with cuadras, so the fight is def going to be laid on the table, you know HBO gonna suggest it in the post fight interview (provided chocolotito wins) and perhaps even invite inoue into the ring (hard to do as inoue will need a translator, inoue speaks barely a word of english and ohashi gets by with basics)
Ohashi came out and said they were in talks with El Nica (as per the article) Filipino people stated Ancajas (as part of a Japan Vs Philippines double header), seems either way we're set unification!
I agree with what you are saying except for this last part. I think it's fairly normal at the lower weights for guys to get title shots in 10 fights or even less because the talent pool is half or less than half as big as it is at the more popular weights and it takes less time to rise. Inoue got his first title in 6, Ioka got his first in 7, Ruenroeng got one in 12, Knockout Freshmart got one in 9, etc.
