He fought 3 times in America against forgettable meaningless bouts against no name (no hopers).Gotta do better than that. But i guess all the top names are at 130 and up.Pitbull Cruz went up to 140 being 5ft.Big respect for that.Nery a good win though.

Good for Inoue. Many American fighters never stepped outside of their comfort zone and fought away. Like Mayweather. At least Inoue has fought a few times outside of Japan.

As I stated, America had nothing to offer him.

It's so weird to me that fans can care so much about the size of the fighter. They're always relatively similar to the opponent, absolute size does little for me. Often I don't even truly grasp their height until they stand next to the ref or duck under the ropes (or climb above them).

This dates back to pre-TV and on-site visibility: size limits the no. of rows from where spectators can reasonably follow the action. Considering flyweights weight half of HWs also producing much less audible snap or canvas crashing noise, their tiny frame severely limits how many ppl. can enjoy their action live. Also consider rope height: if most of their bodies are under the three ropes, the most expensive and lowest placed rows will have an issue where ropes are blocking the action.

TV mostly made size irrelevant (ropes & camera angles can still be an issue) yet boxing is old school so discrimination against small fighters sadly continues. Ironically, their better speed & coordination means faster action is much harder to follow: no one but Roy ever looked as lightning fast as small fellas, most fighters from 160 up are considerably easier to follow.

From a technical standpoint maybe, but pac was fighting in real weight classes. Look at pitbul cruz, he's like 5 foot 2? And he is fighting up at 140. You're telling me inoue can't go to 126 or 130? That's where the talent is at

America is no holds the same place it once did in boxing. It may have once been the case where if you wanted to succeed at the highest possible level you had to go to America, that hasn't been the case for some time now and Americans need to come to terms with the new reality.

The UK market has grown dramatically in the last 20 years, Japan now too with Inoue is where you go to make the most money in those lower divisions, while Inoue isn't on the level of Canelo or Joshua, he is the clear cash cow below 130lbs. Also with Saudi money now were seeing a shift from the biggest fights being in the US now being in Saudi Arabia as not even US PPV can compete with the amount of money the Saudi's are throwing at boxers to fight there.

They say that while American tears are the saltiest, they are also the most umami. I find this to be true.

I've always maintained that Manny can't fight and that he was just a lab creation who fought like a sped up caveman moving his arms like a hyperactive child trying to pop bubbles. They just hyped him up because he was Floyd's biggest rival but Floyd can't fight either.
