    Bantamweight title unification and WBSS tourney semifinal, tentatively set for March 2nd but with venue and exact card details all TBD. WBA bantamweight title (2nd defense of Inoue) and IBF bantamweight title (2nd defense of Rodríguez) on the line - along with the right to meet the Donaire vs. Tete winner in the Muhammad Ali Trophy finals.

    Someone's "0" will have to go (except in the very awkward event of a draw or NC...), especially if there is to be any progression in the WBSS. Rodríguez is 19-0 (12) and had a very good amateur record at 171-11. Inoue has a 17-0 (15) mark in the pros to date - and despite earning hype and international acclaim even prior to his pro debut, only had less than half as many amateur bouts as his opponent. He went 75-6, however, with a whopping 48 kayos/RSC's.

    This could be 2019's FOTY. :deal:

    Ambitious but wouldn't be the most shocking chain of events. At this point I'm not sure anything Inoue does could shock us, we've all become desensitized by what a freak of nature he is. :lol:

    Manny has that skinny, sinewy type body that's ripe for body shot KOs. Head or body, Manny ain't surviving Gojira.

    What's scary is that Inoue hasn't reached his prime yet.

    Inoue will win and win well. Great fight but Inoue is just that good!

    Manny better train like hell. Highlight reel KOs are good but i want a fight. If inoue keeps up this way it just makes me think that he doesn't belong in the division and should just move up.

    Rodriguez will rumble as he can fight, but if he ain’t liking those Moloney’s body shots he ain’t gonna like it when Inoue put the sauce on those liver shots.
    I predict Inoue by late KO.

    If Donaire beats Tete it will be by KO. Tete going to win by UD though.

    Rodriguez can fight and will make it tougher for Inoue than most think but ultimately "monster" will be too much...Tko8-10 rnd...

    Donaire will rip his intestines out of his back like he did that wuss Burnett. Misha Aloyan, the most featherfist fighter since Paulie Malignaggi rocked Tete once or twice, Donaire connects flush once, Tete's going to be convulsing.

    It makes zero difference who ends up emerging from the other side of the bracket. Man-Rod is on paper the hardest assignment Inoue will have in the WBSS, and it could very well still be a blowout victory for him. The finals will just be icing on the cake, be it Donaire or Tete.

    Should be the final of the tournament but unfortunately they have to meet in the quarters. Picking Inoue via mid/late stoppage as i can't say how much Rodriguez can take at all. If he has a good chin and body then he might last the full 12 rounds and the scores won't be that wide. So Inoue via KO 7-12 or Inoue via close UD. But still...Inoue looking like a freakin monster so far. He will beat Tete or Donaire easily, both via EARLY KO.
