    I thought at least one of those points off was BS. I had Robson edging it, could have been a draw or Coria win.

    Okay you got me. I've heard of Jofre. My point still stands, Jofre is an old time boxer and the other one doesn't even have highlights in HD.

    I wasn't trying to ''get you,'' bro. Just educating you in case you didn't know or reminding you if you'd forgotten. But I agree it is surprising how few good ones there have been from there given the vast population size and their love of fighting.

    I'm aware of that. MMA still involves boxing even if it is in a slightly modified form. You forgot Capoeira. Japan and Thailand are still good at boxing too. It's not a good excuse. Brazil and India just suck when it comes to combat sports where you can't look for a way out by taking your opponent down.

    Japan's Bushido spirit is a big reason they do great at boxing - they love to stand and bang!

    Hmm, Savanah Marshall is the only female boxer to watch. She is a a star. If it was 3 minutes she would have stopped that scottish girl in 5? thank god this is only 2 minutes.Bring on the main event!

    Exactly! One of life's questions that needs answering is why Brazil and India have not produced a decent boxer in recent times despite them having all the ingredients that make a fighter - poverty, crime, tough upbringing etc.

    China also needs to up their game when it comes to boxing. They're not bad, but considering their history in Martial Arts, their love of basketball and how they sweep gold medals at every olympics, Fanlong Mei shouldn't be the only world levelish Chinese boxer we have in boxing.

    1.) MMA boxing is terrible. Embarrassingly so. (Probably explains why Brazil boxing isn't so high level)
    2.) Capoeira isn't real fighting.
    3.) The point of the kickboxing example is just to show that some combat sports are (un)popular in certain regions/nations for no particular reason whatsoever, and boxing just isn't big in Brazil.

    It simply is what it is, and it won't change anytime soon.
