I think Nakatani has more than just a good chance here. For some reason I can see him being a bad matchup for Inoue

 

Where do you see him going after this?

Bam doesn't seem in much of a rush to leave Super Fly, and Takuma beating Tenshin in November cuts off Tenshin's run (though I see Tenshin is going to fight Estrada next!), and assuming Takuma beats Ioka, I doubt Naoya will want to fight his brother.

Is it time to move up again if he gets past Nakatani? Of course if he struggles past him, maybe that opens up a Reyes fight

Lowkey insanely hard fight to call.

Guys that live and breathe boxing and take it super serious has a much more subtle decline than say a boxer like Broner.

I legit believe Inoue's super prime ended in 2023.

It won't be as one sided as you guys think.

Inoue has heart, all the skills on the world etc etc but his chin isn't GGG.

His recovery is good, not sure about Godlike level like Fury since Inoue's chin hasn't been found as often... But he can definitely be caught and knocked down. Nakatani can really crack.

Nakatani didn't look so good last fight either, and combat sports is the ONE sport where you are only as good as your last fight, but we don't know if he had an off night, stylistic problems, not adjusted to the weight ( this is probably it. usually takes a few fights. most recent high peofile example being Usyk at heavy, Benavidez) or is on the decline (he's young but you just never know in this sport)

Has Beterbiev vs Bivol 1 vibes for me, not AS hype and anticipated for me, but it's up there.

 

Apparently Yoshiki Takei moved up at 122 lbs (Super Bantamweight), it will be his first fight in this category.
