Weight bully at that division, but great boxer.

He should be fighting guys like Fulton

Donaire, he is no weight bully, he's just a variant.

Yeah doesn't follow under the very narrow umbrella of what you deem worthwhile and interesting in boxing. Stay out threads that don't pertain to that very limited scope - thank you, 99.9% of the forum appreciates it.

He does, however, have a one-hit quit of a tricky Guerfi. Plus, the two stoppages he suffered occurred in the nascent stages of his career. He can be outboxed and outworked, but he's got a really good hard left hand, and has some good speed on that fastball. If Inoue isn't careful, Dasmarinas is getting his attention.

I think he has more moments than one might think against Inoue, even though I'm 97.13 percent certain he'll come out on top.

With all due respect to Dasmariñas and his aspirations to pull off a miracle (by fulfilling either of those predictions) - I hope you're wrong. :sisi1 Simply because that would drag us to well past midnight, and perhaps close to 1am EST before the night's festivities are over.

The main card starts at 10pm* and is a triple-header:

    1. Adam Benito "Bluenose" López vs. Isaac Zion "Royal Storm" Dogboe, 10 rounds @ featherweight
    2. Mikaela Joslin Mayer vs. Érica Anabella Farías y Carrasco, 10x2" rounds @ super featherweight
    3. Naoya Inoue vs. Michael Alber Dasmariñas, 12 rounds @ bantamweight

I suspect that both of the co-features will go their respective ten round distances (~40 minutes for the men and half an hour for the chicks), then factor in ring walks and some lengthy commercial breaks, studio panel blather, etc. - I'm not expecting main event ring walks until after 11:30pm EST. A quick and brutal KO would be a mercy to both Hot 'N' Spicy and us weary spectators.

*I'm going to have the RBR up in about six hours, as @CST80 appears to have the rest of the day's major events covered. The full prelims of this one are going to stream on ESPN+, but I'll personally be tuning in and taking over the helm after Lil Butt's mom picks him around 9, definitely in time for the main televised card on ESPN, and probably most if not all of the last non-TV undercard bout. Idk whether CST is planning on doing a thread for the Chávez vs. Silva goofiness, probably won't do so myself with my focus squarely on Top Rank's card; pretty sure no serious boxing fan except @sasto is going to be purchasing that PPV.

(and yes, tbf, Omar Alonzo Chávez vs. Ramón Álvarez Barragán III does have a modicum of appeal to diehards; both of their previous fights were fun and we finally get some closure in the battle of famous boxing families' less-celebrated also-rans in a tiebreaking rubbermatch - but that event is worthy of headlining on UniMás or Azteca - not behind a forty dollar paywall :deal:)

He hits harder than pillow fist Jaime Macdonell or Payano. However he doesn't the skills or speed to beat Inoue. He gets hit too easy i presume Inoue will break him down and it's all over. I do believe though Inoue hasn't fought big punchers in their PRIME that can get his attention. Except Donaire who was old and had Inoue backing up and copped some damaged. I believe if old Donaire can buzz him he could be in for a surprise if Marinas lands on him consistent.

I don’t think it’ll happen here but every time I watch Inoue I get the feeling he’s gonna get knocked out at some point in the near future when he fights a bigger guy with some pop.
