Naoya Inoue vs Murodjon Akhmadaliev

Are we saying that 126 is a strong division? Because I dont think its better than 122, at all. IMO, 122 has the far better talent pool in it.

 

What? lol, 126 has Espinoza, who is a p4p guy and also Fulton and Nick Ball. 122 only has Inoue and MJ but MJ isn’t even better than Fulton.

 

How the **** is Espinoza p4p? His best win is against Robeisy Ramirez, and thats it really. He has only beaten a single ranked opponent in his division.

126 has: Espinoza, Leo, Fulton, Ball, Lopez.
122 has: Inoue, Akhmadaliev, Tapales, Cardenas, Nery

I would say that 122 is better off, but wont argue if someone thinks 126 has the better talent. However, I will argue that overall the divisions are pretty equal. Calling one the "worse one" is ridiculous imo. But not as ridiculous as saying that Espinoza is p4p.

I'd also add Bruce Carrington into the equation at 126 although he's technically not a title holder yet. Fulton will also be facing O'Shaquie Foster for his 130 title as well.

126 has some depth but the gap in talent compared to 122 isn't all that much better if we're being honest. Espinoza is the biggest threat but even then he's also not without his glaring flaws that Inoue can take advantage of. I still think Inoue should make the move up at some point since there's some great fights to be made over there with the fighters mentioned.

 

I never argued that they were worthy of p4p considerations. I merely compared the two divisions more prominent names.

 

I never said you said they were p4p, but you using those 2 as a reason why 122 is on par with 126 while discrediting Espinoza is hilarious.

 

Then wtf do you mean by "top guys"? They are literally at the top of their division, and are you genuinely suggesting that they are that far below the guys you mentioned at 126, that you would laugh?

Tapales and Cardenas are no worse than Fulton. And yes, I discredited Espinoza because you suggesting that he is p4p is, well, it´s ridiculous. Cardenas is arguably the best of the 3, given how well he performed vs Inoue, but his resume overall is lacking, same as Espinoza.

 

The difference between 122 and 126 is we don't really know how good the latter are because they haven't mixed it enough. Espinoza looks like he's improved since that first bout with Ramirez. He's represent an interesting challenge for Inoue.

As for MJ, he's likely being undersold, even by myself. Paulie Malignaggi thinks Inoue is taken the distance for the first time since Donaire 1. The Uzbeki is well schooled, can counter, throws powerful, looping shots, and might have a brick for a head. The Japanese is the rightful favourite but this might be tricky. More so than against Cardanes. However, because team Inoue know the risks, I expect Naoya to be more business like and, at some point, get the stoppage. Many Inoue victims used tight guards/tried to survive. I see Naoya finding MJ's chin more.

 

Inoue will fold MJ to the body in the first half. Simply different classes of fighter, and I like MJ.
