They're on bout #3 of 7 total on the card already ...I think projections of the main event ring walks being at 6:40 might have been wishful thinking, unless there's going to be a LOT of dead air padding this out. I'd say a more conservative guess would be like 5am EST (two hours from now)

A pair of lean southpaws going to WAR over the vacant JBC 135lb title.

Murakami has the white trunks with purple trim; Imanaga black with red (and his first name, Taiga, printed in English above his crotch)

This is Murakami's third stab at the Japanese lightweight title. He previously fought Shuma Nakazato for it twice - losing a UD in 2023 and coming just short with a draw in their rematch this past spring.

This is better than all but two bouts from the Vegas card. :deal:

That last round was special. They both went for it.

    UD for Imanaga.

The young Yokohama resident stays perfect at 9-0.

Unfortunately for Murakami, the third time wasn't lucky. Nearly half the rounds boxed in his pro career have been spent going after this championship!

There's just an 8-rounder left on the undercard, and then the three world championship bouts forming the main card triple-header!

(Takada vs. Matsumoto is for the WBA regular title at 105lbs...hence why BoxRec lists it as 12 rounds but doesn't show a championship. BoxRec is still beefing with the WBA)

Shimomachi comes in undefeated since 2016 and fresh off a wide win over Aran Dipaen (who challenged Inoue back in 2021).

    Lee is 9-7.

Don't expect this should be very competitive. :sisi1

I am eating a tortilla full of peanut butter and pickled red onions. Highly recommended.
