Bam is on a Riyadh season card in November. If fans would just go off how fun a fighter is to watch in the ring, he could easily become a massive star, as I don’t know what more you could want a man to do in the ring. He’s everything great about the sport, in the ring. Skilled, fit, great reflexes, solid power, mean, relentless, aggressive, never stops trying for a KO even when he’s comfortably ahead. But… that isn’t how it works for whatever reason. Fans want big personalities for the most part. And Bam is a quiet nerdy looking guy outside of the ring.

unsure how he should be promoted properly. He SHOULD be real easy to sell. A Mexican-American who does everything one could ask for in the ring? SHOULD have a massive fan base.

He was in that he never really moved out of the gear he was in. He only really did so when MJ tried to impose himself on him. That gear is the one we usually see much more off from him because he wants to knock his opponents out.

I agree MJ showed a very good chin but Inoue seemed content with not trying to secure the KO tonight. It's not a criticism he dominated the fight and he wasn't being overly cautious or not throwing with venom.

Maybe its just more exposure, on bigger cards, more hype behind his fights. Tough one, especially for the lower weight guys. Id love him to get more recognition. Super super talented.

Watched the fight on Lemino in Japan. I gave Akhmadaliev rounds 5 and 7, and Inoue the rest. It was pretty one sided. I wondered if Akhmadaliev was injured after the first 4 as he just didn't seem interested in pushing the action. Guess the levels were just different and he didn't want to deal with Inoue's speed if he had tried to open up more. Sadly, he seemed more than a bit content to just see out the fight.

Tell me how. I have a Japanese wife and she tried for last couple of fights and no luck. Maybe if I was willing to pay ring side seats. Most of the tickets are on lottery type thing. I couldn't even get tickets for the nery fight at the Tokyo dome which holds 60 000

Hmmmm, interesting, never thought it would be that difficult, I live in Asia too, and if i am going to Japan for the only fight in boxing that im desperate to see then im getting ringside seats, failing that any ticket i can get my hands on.

I passed out at 5:30, before Takei vs. Medina started. :llorona:

I was about to catch up, nice and spoiler free - but happened to see the news about Ricky Hatton dying. Kind of a mood dampener. :ohno

    Round 1

Medina Jiménez is calmly stalking Takei, putting up a high jab. Takei kneading the knuckles of his right fist into Medina Jiménez's left to parry the jab. Quick jab at the chest by Takei, but Medina Jiménez backsteps to dodge. Medina Jiménez tries hooking past a Takei southpaw jab and they both fall short. Quick body jabs by Takei stepping to his right. Medina Jiménez keeps trying for that counter left hook above the jab, experimenting with different angles on it. Nearly catches Takei, grazing with a left hook and following up quickly with a right that falls just short. Takei circling in close, takes a big left hook on the body. Right hand up top by Medina Jiménez. Takei staying too close, needs to get back to his movement. Medina Jiménez lulls Takei with a couple of jabs and swatting left hooks up top, backing him gradually into the ropes, before crouching and suddenly shooting a hard straight right. Takei down, back of his head hitting the bottom rope! He's up and has twenty seconds worth of round to survive until the bell. They scrap and grapple, and Takei runs.

    10-8 Medina Jiménez

Just say his real name, Corey. :shakehead:

Erdman just tried calling him by his nickname Chispa but it ended up sounding like "G-spot Medina".
