Yes, the performance was blistering and the efficiency, accuracy, and power was frightening... But what shocked me the most was Inoue's fight plan. You'd think that Inoue still had nightmares of Nonito's left hook from hell or the fight-changing right hands that he landed a handful of times, but no, not at all. Leading up to the rematch, I thought Inoue was going to be very careful, box safely, and cruise to a decision win. Instead, Inoue ran towards the smoke and fought in Nonito's wheelhouse. He pressured the hell out of Nonito who thrives off of counterpunching dudes into oblivion. Not only that, but he also played the role of counterpuncher and countered the hell out of Nonito with brain-scrambling hooks. I think Inoue was genuinely offended that Nonito managed to hurt him and be competitive in their first fight. He had promised that he would remove the drama from the first fight, dominate, and he expressed a desire to send Nonito into retirement (not in an insulting and malicious way, but rather his confidence in his own abilities).
This content is protected The finishing sequence after he had Nonito do the stanky leg the second time was insane. Just perfectly placed punch after perfectly placed punch.
I wasnt too impressed, i rooted for Donaire but in my head i knew that he was most likely going to get knocked out. Inoue is a beast and Butler will get destroyed as well, but im interested to see what he does at 122 where the challenges will be bigger and more dangerous.
Inoue's a growing boy and he's STILL getting better. I think he's going to be bigger, faster, and stronger at 122. I expect him to cut the ring on Fulton, tenderize that body, and blow him out in under 6. MJ finna git smoked, too.
Fulton is tough and he has very good skills, i dont think it would be an easy fight for Inoue. In fact i think Fulton can beat him. Hes got a better chance of winning against MJ based on styles.
Fulton is very good. He's near elite. But you're gonna be in for a surprise. Fulton might survive if he goes into full out retreat, clinch, and repeat mode. Dem belts on borrowed time. I hope Fulton doesn't move up to avoid the fight.
