Ha ha that's polite, yes, I love it when you get a proper strawweight from the east who goes all out fighting nobodies in six rounders for walking-around money, non-title fights.

As much as I love Inoue, part of me would've felt happy for Nonito had he pulled off the upset. He's a great fighter, had a spectacular career, is a class act and the way he's managed to defy the ageing process to have this Indian summer at his age has been a revelation. He was the second best bantamweight in the world on merit and it took an absolute murderous punching P4P top 3, arguably #1 or #2, at worst monster phenom to keep him from being the best.

 

The thing is I'm not trying to be disrespectful to the champs at 122 when I say Inoue beats them. They're very good fighters. But I honestly wouldn't be remotely surprised if he disposed of them in as quick and devastating fashion as he did to Nonito today. He strikes with the precision and speed of a cobra and his venom is absolutely lethal. He's very economical and efficient and every shot he throws is potentially a finisher if it lands right.
