The type of fighter to beat Inoue is someone like Wilfredo Gomez or SS.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Inoue has a tendancy to fight to his opposition, too. He looked decidedly less than spectacular against Butler and Dipaen than he did against Donaire and Fulton.

I don't really know what my point is tbh, it's just an attitude I see a lot. Inoue is indeed a destroyer of worlds, but he has a lot of luke warm performances under his belt, and not a lot of great opposition himself.

Yeah but he isn't losing rounds and having close decisions and that's what Canizales did vs B and C class fighters. He got a draw vs Billy Hardy and a close decision vs Sergio Reyes.

Now in fairness to Canizales he did win rematches emphatically, but the fact he needed two attempts vs fighters he should handling easily is a bit alarming.

Don't get me wrong I love Canizales as a fighter and he was fantastic to watch, but his opposition was just so poor and he wasted his talent fighting absolute nobodies.
