Butler fought to survive, took some monster shots and kept going. Unfortunately, he had no offense against Inoue as the Monster was countering well. Inoue now needs to move up. He has no comp. where he is. Unify the next division!

Butler was in complete survival mode. And he still got taken out late. The monster wouldn’t be denied.

Butler didn't really try to win, barely threw a punch in the first 6 rounds. His strategy was bizarre, give away first 6 rounds and what try to KO Inoue who's got an iron chin or win every round in the 2nd half and hope he gets the nod in Japan?

The gulf in class was just too big. Hopefully the guys at 122lbs show more ambition and can test Inoue a little.

Butler doesn't have any power to stop Inoue coming in make him pay for it. He landed some good shots that did not have any kind of effect. Buttler did what he does all his fights. Cuban style box and move let the judges take care of the paper work at the end. Really need to hurt Inoue for coming in like dat and think twice etc. That's like 99 percent of his opps. Weak got no power to hurt him. Their certainly not in the same league as Marquez, Barrer or Morales. Heck even Oscar Larios level.

He fought a full strength Nonito Donaire, and was caught flush with several of his money punches. He passed that test with flying colors, his chin is ROCK SOLID.

Inoue did legitimately say Butler was the toughest guy he's faced. I kinda got that the rest was sarcasm.

Literally the only things you could credit him for but there's no doubting he showed those facets well.

This is probably the first time I’ve seen Inoue taunting and showing a playful side of him. He was emulating RJJ, Hamed, and Augustus. Butler really had nothing to show, that’s how in control Inoue was.

Some actions may have been taunting but I also believe a decent amount of what Inoue did, such as sticking his face out with his hands behind his back, was in an effort to get Butler out of his defensive shell. He wanted Butler to fight back so that he could find openings to take him out.

People criticizing the master boxer Butler because he didn't want to play Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots with Inoue like some Scouse caveman

Butler won that fight or at least he would of had it been a 10 rounder. He was the only one giving us a demonstration of the sweet science in there and his defence and slickness was much more impressive to me than Inoue's unimaginative and monotonous sausage and chips offence. Real talk

Nobody is pointing out that Inoue missed 514 punches while Butler only missed 263. Master class ended by a lucky shot.

Everything Inoue threw was blocked by Butler's arms, elbows and ribs. It's a pity Butler tired due to the jetlag. It's back to the drawing board for Inoue while Butler moves on to the biggest stage in the world - domestic U.K.

Exactly. 99% of Inoue's shots upstairs hit arms and gloves ie. they were blocked and not scoring shots and the only success he was having when it came to landing clean shots was with the left rips downstairs to Butler's completely exposed right flank.

Where was the creativity in Inoue's attacks? He should've been able to create the openings upstairs if he was truly a top operator and as skillful as they say. The only skill we saw on display came from Butler and even Inoue knew he couldn't box with him. Hence why he became increasingly frustrated as the fight progressed and was behaving all out of character. Butler wouldn't have faded down the stretch had he not been crippled by jet lag and he definitely would've won the fight.
