There were talks of Inoue facing Robeisy Ramirez in the future should he move up to Featherweight but unfortunately Espinoza ended up crashing the party and taking the title from Ramirez. Would anyone be interested in this match up and do you think Espinoza has a good chance against Inoue considering the height and reach difference?

The height and reach difference between the two is quite staggering. Espinoza is 6'1 with 74 in reach while Inoue is 5'5 with 67 in. Inoue has a history of beating bigger opponents but I wonder if Espinoza's size, toughness and sheer punch volume can become a problem even for Inoue.

I wouldn't mind see this match up in the future.

Those are stunning physical advantages for Espinoza, , add this to the fact Espinoza will re hydrate to probably 140 lbs . There comes a point when physical advantages are too much to overcome. While it's not a certainty ,this could be the case here and how will Inoue react to getting hit by someone that big who can punch?

I think the last fight that had a big height and reach discrepancy was between Canelo (5'8, 70.5 inch reach) and Callum Smith (6'3, 78 inch reach) and Canelo managed to beat Smith easily. It remains to be seen how Inoue would look at 126 and if he's able to continue to be as explosive and dangerous while still moving up.

The notable thing for which Inoue has prepared is McDonnell’s height and reach. McDonnell (29-2-1, 13 KOs) is 5-foot-10 with a 72-inch reach, compared to Inoue’s 5-foot-5 and 66-inch reach.

Jamie also rehydrated to 144 lbs iirc which is crazy

Espinoza's volume will pose a bigger problem & we also have to know how well Inoue's power carries to 126 because Espinoza is there to be hit & Inoue hits a lot harder than Robeisy if their KO ratio's are anything to go by

I think Otabek will be a bigger challenge for Inoue at 126

Canelo has a lot of muscle mass though. His back is friggin huge and has a tree trunk for a neck. Inoue isn't built stocky like that. He is skinny like espinoza. Espinoza is, for the time being, a big puncher at the weight as well.

Espinoza got lucky against Ramirez. The fight should have been stopped after that knockdown.

Inoue rehydrated up to 131 for his debut at 118 five and a half years ago and he's bigger now

Huge height and reach advantage for sure but if Espinoza rehydrates to 140 which to be fair I have no idea how much he rehydrates but if so in terms of weight it won't be that much if Inoue was coming in 9lbs lighter than that five and a half years ago for his 118 debut

But ''hype job'' Loma who Inoue is almost the same size as and has a 2'' longer reach than despite them campaigning four divisions apart but five when the photo below was taken isn't just routinely giving away tons of reach, height most of the time or a lot sometimes, he's also routinely giving away tons of weight too, like between 2-3 divisions or 4 against Haney. The only time Inoue has ever done that is against McDonnell AFAIA who had 13lbs on him

    Reach

    Loma 65½''

    Walters 73''
    Haney 71''
    Commey 71''
    Campbell 71''
    Nakatani 71''
    Pedraza 70½''
    Linares 69''
    Ortiz 69''
    Rodriguez 69''
    Teofimo 68½''
    Rigo 68''
    Salido 67''
    Marriaga 67''
    Sosa 67''
    Crolla 67''
    Martinez 67''
    Ramirez 65½''
    Russell Jr. 64''

The guy on the right, past prime at that, vs a Haney who weighed at least 160lb and is a natural big 147 or 154 pounder with a near six inch reach advantage and who is currently considered the reincarnation of SRR and ranked top 10 P4P vs Inoue vs the Mighty McDonnell

I love Inoue. My current #3 fav, and an all time top 10 fav now at the expense of Jose Luis Lopez or McCallum no less. But come on now

Good work. I expected it to be about that much. That's an in shape lean 165 too.

So he weighed at least 20lbs more than Loma

I'd say at least 10lbs more than Kambosos and Linares if not a few pounds more

Even more that that against Gamboa and Jojo

And in his first fight at 140 against a big career 140 pounder who really struggles to make 140 he outweighed them by 9 freaking pounds?

    Un-freaking-real!

What do I keep saying about these gigantic weight bullies still being a lot bigger than their opponents when then they move up in weight and still bigger or at worse the same size when they move up 2 or 3 divisions if not more?

But *insert name of massive weight bully* is a two or three weight champ tho. Yes by beating up leprechauns they're way bigger than. They have to move up at three divisions before they even start fighting opponents their size FFS

I told everyone that would be the case and lo and behold I was right again

When Loma and Inoue move up, especially Loma, they're fighting bigger or way bigger guys who hold huge physical advantages over them. That's what P4P greatness is and should be about not gigantic weight bullies bashing up leprechauns half their size who they hold huge physical advantages over and every physical advantage at that.

And Haney has been working with disgraced PED guru Vic Conte for years and I'm definitely suspicious he might be taking something he shouldn't be or using methods he shouldn't be to help him get down that low and make weight

Kin hell that's four division above 140 that's disgraceful. Not blaming Haney he did nothing illegal but something must be made about this crap.
