I still have Inoue in my top 5 but his resume lately has been lacking.

The Monster is undoubtedly the most exciting boxer in the game, but he did struggle with a nobody(no disrespect to Cardenas).

We all crapped on Shakur for fighting an electrician, we have to be consistent.

He’s adapted well after getting dropped in the Cardenas & Nery fights and made sure they don’t land the same shot again. Just needs to cut it out from the start. Expect he’ll be more switched on next time around and it was just a case of getting over confident.

Just watched it. Inoue is a beast. And Cardenas showed he’s a beast too with ridiculous speed and power himself. Inoue is just another level. Where Cardenas has flaws (low workrate, flat-feet), Inoue is complete with an insane workrate for such a powerful fighter and just plain ATG boxing ability and intelligence.

He doesn’t need to go above this division IMO.
This is already dangerous waters for him.
Special fighter and great performance from both guys

It wasn't too far from being over. Aparently the corner were going to pull him out at rounds end but still, it was early. The fighter was still fighting and showed he could hurt Inoue. If the corner wanted to pull him at the end of the round, then fair enough.
Cardernas impressed me. Speed, Courage, nice combos, has some power.

Yeah, I just think 122 might be his ceiling for becoming undisputed. I've no doubt he can win a world title at 126 but undisputed at that weight might be a step too far just due to size and his legacy can still continue to grow at 122.

Espinoza is massive for 126 and I'm wary of these tall large-framed fighters because they can rehydrate a ton of weight after weigh ins whilst still looking skinny, especially when you're a fighter who has already moved up numerous weight classes, because you're facing someone who is gigantic for the weight and isn't fighting in their natural weight class, as in Loma vs Teofimo and Haney both of whom looked like the living dead on the scales at 135, whereas, Loma looks the picture of health on them and didn't even look drained down at 126.

I don't think it's a given Inoue beats MJ. I favour him to do so but MJ punches like a mother beeper too

I agree with your assessment re. Inoue at 126 and I wouldn't be surprised if he did pull it off, but like you say, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he lost at that weight either

 I don't want any fighter I'm a fan of to lose, but I especially don't want them to lose due to size and to a much bigger inferior fighter who wouldn't even stand a chance of beating them if they were the same size as them or closer to the same size as them.

Haney and Teofimo have wins over Loma, one legit loss the other not, but neither would stand a chance in hell against him if they were the same size or were closer in size to him. A same size Loma would knock both of them out, let alone a bigger bigger version of him vs smaller or way smaller versions of them.

Massive weight bullies beating great or far superior fighters due to size doesn't impress me and it just feels wrong for them to have their scalps on their resumes.

Inoue should not go for undisputed at 126. He should just fight Ball, win a title and move right back down.

Mayweather and Pacquiao did exactly that with 154lb. They fought select fights at 154, but neither stayed there permanently.

I agree with a previous comment that Loma’s legacy was tarnished somewhat due to his campaign at 135.

I'd like to thank Inoue and Cardenas for giving me and the fans a real fight. They fought like MEN and not show horses prancing and preening around the ring. An OASIS in the current boxing wasteland.
