@1:03 my first in person ever fight! I was 9 and a half at the time, and I went with my grandfather and my cousin (RIP both)! Just a little girl with her grandfather and cousin...Wilfredo was so famous that even without being bit by the boxing bug yet, I asked grands if he could take me so I could see him in person! (Years later, in 2003, I met him during an autograph hunting run here in Phoenix when he and Macho Camacho were in Macho Camacho Jr's corner for his fight with Omar Weiss) Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Memories......memories!
Inoue is probably the best fighter in the world right now, but he doesn't stand a chance against Gomez, who is truly an ATG Is Naoya an ATG? Not yet, but the potential is there for sure imo. He is in the midst of his prime - he must fight the best comp he can as often as possible.
Yeah this is a dangerous fight for Naoya, no doubt. As the old box axiom goes, "who will dare to be great". The opportunity is here for Inoue. I believe he's the real deal and will show why in this fight, he seems absolutely at his peak right now and is, imo the most dangerous fighter in the world today p4p.
I think he is ATG at 118 but not pound for pound, memes and stuff aside. The Fulton victory I think will improve in the future, and even now will do a lot to elevate his legacy.
