It's only a matter of time before these trolls start saying that "Donaire EXPOSED Inoue" or "Monster is overrated". People put such high expectation on Inoue while ignoring the fact that Donaire, although past it, is still a dangerous opponent and he showed why he's a great fighter and future HOFer.

Monster answered a lot of question and showed what we haven't seen before. Inoue proved he has a chin, can still carry his power to the distance, has good stamina and composure, AND he can overcome adversity. Donaire came to win and not collect a paycheck and gave arguably one of his best performance against a fighter that was deemed invincible.

    Give props to BOTH fighters.

Lol they're already talking about Loma and Canelo. Talk about weirdly insecure.

Honestly, the cut (which Donaire deserves credit for) basically allowed Donaire to see the final bell as Inoue was protecting it the whole fight and was getting caught due to hindered vision.

He looked a bit undersized, at least against Donaire he did. It will be interesting to see how he looks if he still intends to move up.

Is this some sort of attempted pre-emptive thread for something that will happen anyway?
Gojira struggled much more as expected by most, so the haters will have fuel to put on the fire... just wait out the smoke until the sky clears. Starting threads like this doesn't really work.

People are also going to try and compare Inoue's performance to Rigondeaux's. Let's not forget that when Rigo beat him it was at SBW, a weight class that was a bit high for Donaire. While this fight was at BW, arguably Donaire's best weight.

Yes, I'm aware that these haters are going to start using the Donaire fight as their hate-filled fuel. But it's better to make this thread to put into perspective on why Inoue is still a legit fighter despite going the distance with Donaire. This fight gave us answers of what Inoue is capable of when faced with adversary.

My question is why didn't nonito went after Naoya when he badly hurt him?? that seemed strange to me especially when Nonito is a known finisher when he hurts you.

Inoue does have work on his defense though.

Tbh this fight shows that Inoue will need to pack on some quality muscle and also train his skinny neck if he wants to be successful at higher weights. He looked tiny compared to Donaire, and Donaire struggled when he moved up.

You need strength against bigger and stronger men, and I think that's the reason why Donaire was able to take a lot of his shots.

How can he be exposed when no one has no ****ing idea what hes capable of because all his opponents are already sleeping before the tough gets going??

This kind of attitude is exactly why fighters are now so obsessed with keeping the 0 and fighting cherry picks, one tough fight or one loss and all of a sudden your stock goes right down

It's happened to Spence when he had a tough fight with Porter and people criticized Spence and it's going to happen to Inoue unfortunately. I think people nowadays just put so much high expectation on fighters that look like they can't be beat.
