I already have him as P4P #1, but by unifying all the titles in another division it will be undeniable for all but the most biased. He's also the clear Fighter of the Year for 2023 if he wins on Tuesday December 26th.
Resume wise, I agree. I think Narvaez, McDonnell, Payano (KO 1), Donaire, Rodriguez (KO 3), Fulton, Tapales is a great resume. Manny Rodriguez is a superb boxer and a very underrated victory. I was really impressed with how Inoue won. Similarly with Payano, who is an underrated boxer. H2H, I have Crawford as a more complete fighter. But still very close.
It's between Crawford and Inoue at this moment. If Usyk beats Fury in Feb. Which I think he will he enters the argument as well. These guys are chasing greatness at high levels possibly becoming the only trio of 4 belt undisputed champion in multiple divisions in Male Professional Boxing. A feat that will probably never be met again. Boxing is peaking right now.
Inoue for me is clearly fighter of the year. Beat Fulton who presented a completely new style and was a much bigger guy, became undisputed in 2 fights in a new weight class. I think he should defend once or twice before moving up again. He seems unstoppable.
Yes, Inoue is fighter of the year and nr 1 p4p. He didn't lose a round against Fulton and Tapales imo and stopped both, in a new division to boot.
