Has the Monster had the chance to actually display any defensive skills yet? I'm curious to know how his defense will hold up when he continues to step up in competition. At some point he'll have to rely on his boxing skills.

It's solid. He's adept at moving in and out of range, and can deflect or roll with a lot of shots his opponents throw. He's an offensive minded fighter, so he'll take shots, but I wouldn't classify his D as pourous in any way, shape, or form.

There's barely time to say 'attack is the best form of defence' before the fight is over.

Would anyone be that surprised to find out he's a product of cyberdyne systems?

Inoue has stamina, work rate, reflexes, hand and foot speed of a flyweight, and the power and chin of a cruiserweight.

Now then Serge, been a while hasn’t it?been living in a caravan for the past three weeks as we having a lot of work done on the house, missed this place though it did allow me to calm down from the corruption of the sport lol.
Inoue and his knockout has had the BBC pundits purring, calling it possibly the KO of the year.Just to describe what they were talking about is how Inoue and his opponent appeared to be sparring in the middle of the ring with Inoue adopting the Eastern European way of touching his opponent with the jab at least seven times, kinda like Golovkin did in his prime and then someone needs to explain this to me but they were saying Inoue toes were off the ground when he landed that right and that it shouldn’t be possible to do what he did.....does this seem plausible?

I’ve seen videos by Precise Puncher on Inoues defence or lack of it and admittedly he did point out some odd positions where his chin was out there, that said we’ve seen the same about Wilder and he’s still winning fights, maybe when you have the power of Inoue or Wilder their opponents are just to afraid to take advantage of it?

I’m well and truly sold on Inoue though and I ain’t gonna go on about resume as it’s the manner in which he wins, like he can literally knock his opponent out whenever he feels like it and in those lower weight classes that’s no small feat.

Inoue has good B+ defense and doesn't get hit more than any offensive-minded fighter with good B+ defense.

Hello mate, good to have you back.

You've been living the gypsy life lol

I don't know to be honest, I've just watched it again and I couldn't see his feet when he threw the right. It sounds plausible though.

Could be, mate. That said, Inoue hits a lot harder than Donkey but he also has speed, accuracy and technique. If Inoue fought Donkey's opposition he would be 40-0 (40 KOs).

Yeah the effortless and destructive manner he's getting these guys out of there is really impressive. I think that it is the KO of the year so far for me.

To be compared to the Eastern European crop is obviously a high compliment as their drilled technique is really something,he definitely has that mythical status about him already.
His technique must be flawless as his knockouts appear to be effortless, certainly not like those wild swings that Wilder is known for.
If you wanna hear those comments they’re on the BBC sports site under boxing,I’m sure you’d understand what they getting at.

It kinda reminds me of rjj, he had speed athleticism power but when it faded away he run into problems. I think it will be a while for them to catch up with Inoue but we will find out one day how he does defensively.

Hands dow KO of the year. Inoue is a monster. Hes no Maywether (thank god) but his defense is solid. Rapidly turning into one of my favourite fighters.

Inoue is the goods and then some. Shocked ya'll couldn't see this years ago (should have been on everyones P4P list after Narvaez, and comfortably had a home on the list ever since).
