i hope he does not stay in the U.S for to long, im in japan from jan 7th - 21st. allready planned a trip to Ohashi gym, would hate to miss him
Absolutely awesome. HBO needs to keep pairing the Flyweight range guys with GGG, Crawford, etc cards and get people familiar with them. Hopefully down the road some superfights involving Gonzalez/Inoue/Estrada can headline themselves somewhere like the StubHub. Actually Inoue vs either would be better off in Japan but still.
HBO's already doing Gonzalez fights and looking to add Es****a as well the idea of Inoue coming over makes look like HBO is interested in mixing and matching these three. Great idea and hopefully it plays out that way.
Time for the monster mash! :toney Another foreign fighter who will soon be hated by the same crowd that now hates on Kova and GGG
Sounds like Ohashi is seriously chasing Gonzalez and given what we know of Ohashi and Inoue they are serious rather than just talking the talk. I know it "looks bad" to be a fighter chasing someone a weight lower but it's hard to do anything but repsect Inoue and Ohashi here and hopefully the next 12 months will be Parrenas (Mandatory), Narvaez (contractual obligation, take place in the US) a solid contender at 115 (in the summer) and then Gonzalez next December. As for Gonzalez I wonder if he'll have a stay busy at the end of 2015, a mandatory in early 2016 (Nawaphon on the Inoue/Narvez II show), a fight at 115 (Srisaket would be perfect but anyone in the top 15-20 would be acceptable on the same show as the Inoue Vs Contender bout) then Inoue in December. Personally I'd rather the bout was in Japan, seen by 14,000,000 Japanese fans but I understand the way Ohashi is talking that the bout would be best, financially at least, Stateside. Fingers crossed!
Duuuuude this is awesome news... (well, everything except for the Narvaez rematch bit as that is surprising and not exactly a warranted or s3xy matchup after the first go around)
Hell Yeah:happy:bananamaniacThis is great news, I wanna see Inoue destroy Ruenroeng and Shiming, and then squash Chocolatito.
