RICKY HATTON: Joe will be too quick and too busy and I'm sure he'll win. His preparations have gone well and his biggest fear will be whether the referee will give him a fair deal. LLOYD HONEYGHAN: Hopkins is a cool customer who will give Calzaghe loads of problems. A younger Hopkins would definitely win. But age may make the difference in this fight. JOHNNY NELSON: Calzaghe has too much class for Hopkins. I don't think Hopkins has been quite the same in his last few fights. I think Joe will win but it won't be a pretty fight. ROBIN REID: Calzaghe's fighting Hopkins at the right time. Hopkins has looked rubbish in his last few fights and Joe shouldn't have too many problems with him. He will win a wide decision. JUNIOR WITTER: Joe's still at the top of his game, whereas Hopkins is on the slide. Calzaghe's such a classy operator I can't see him having too many problems, and he will win on points. GLEN JOHNSON: I think Bernard is a defensive whizz, and Joe throws punches from every different angle. I think Joe might win the fight, but he's not going to be able to land a lot of punches. GARY SHAW: I have all the respect in the world for Joe Calzaghe. I watched him at ringside destroy Jeff Lacy and Mikkel Kessler. In the underrated department, Calzaghe should be rated number one. ANTONIO TARVER: Hopkins has something left and he's always going to be a cagey fighter. He will definitely be in the fight. But it takes someone with a lot of tricks to beat Calzaghe. CLINTON WOODS: I think Calzaghe has the fresher factor and he is the bigger fighter really. I'm 90% sure that he will beat Hopkins at the end of the night. LENNOX LEWIS: Travelling is an issue for Calzaghe because he has never done it before. Some can adjust and some can't. We will see whether Joe is capable of making that adjustment or not. OSCAR DE LA HOYA: If there's one man who can frustrate Calzaghe and take him out of his game plan, it's Hopkins. He's patient and will wait for you all night. I feel Hopkins can pull it off. BUDDY McGIRT: If Calzaghe boxes him then I think he will win. But if he tries to stay in there, it could become a tough fight and Bernard will try to rough him up. CHARLES BREWER: Bernard will do anything and everything to win. My concern for Joe is his tendency to want to get into a fight instead of boxing. If he does that on April 19, it could leave him vulnerable. AMIR KHAN: Joe's work-rate will be the key. I don't think going over to the States will bother him one bit and I think he's got too much for Hopkins, whose best days might be in the past.
RICKY HATTON: ''Joe will be too quick and too busy and I'm sure he'll win. His preparations have gone well and his biggest fear will be whether the referee will give him a fair deal'' don't worry Wicky, Calzaghe doesn't hold, wrestle and foul like you so he'll get no **** from the ref. He's also an elite fighter unlike you. jesus..this Wicky Fatton guy is a boring ****er....still whining about a ref who had the gall to enforce the rules of the sport.
Hatton should indeed change the record. He's getting as pathetic as people who call him Wicky. And HE came up with the Ricky Fatton name....
I saw in Boxing Monthly's last issue about 19 out of 20 experts picked Calzaghe. It looked exactly like the American predictions for Lacy, let's hope history doesn't repeat itself.
Noooo Oscar gave Bernard his kiss of death. He also said that he felt Ricky can beat Floyd. Now its over.
:good lol it was over before oscar said that. joe has to high a workrate. to mucvh spped and agility and will just be too busy for bernard its as simple as that. i dont think joe will KO bernard because he still has a great defence, but he will be too busy and that will win the fight for him

hahah!! You got there before me with that! Makes me think though... does Oscar say it for a reason. That is, Hatton will beat PBF so when PBF beats Hatton, Oscar can say 'Wow - this guy is still improving and definately P4P number 1 - lets get it on again'. After Calzaghe whups B-Hop does Oscar say ''Wow - this guy is still improving and definately P4P number 1 - lets get it on"??
