I see alot of people dismissing Hamed as being a overhyped bum that was exposed by Barrera.

If so then...did Junior Jones expose MAB as well when he beat him up twice? This was long before Pacman shared a ring with him!

The fact will always remain that Naz peaked in the mid 90s and depended alot on speed, reflexes (like the late 80s Tyson) and when he ditched his trainer and started tweaking his style it was a very fast downward slide...

Naz vs barrera was like watching Tyson vs Holyfield....Power was there but speed and defensive techniques gone!

Hamed, for all his natural talent, lost his way when tensions between him and Brendan Ingle started. I often wonder if he would have had a better strategy that night if he wasn't such a cocky, childish, arrogant and ignorant son of a *****.

I hate Hamed though so I deny myself the thought that he could have won.

At least MAB continued boxing after he lost. Naseem hit the road like "everyone knows how to beat me now!" Probably why they say exposed.

Stop making excuses for Hamed "the clown".

MAB beat Hamed once . . . then he's gone, he ****i'n quit.

Junior Jones beat MAB twice: one by DQ, then the second time by UD, exposed? Nah :nono . . . MAB came back strong and prove that he's a real warrior, a great fighter with heart.

    See the difference? :rofl

Naz is possibly the easiest fighter to hate I've ever come across!:D
People forget that he looked shite before Mab and looked shite in his match after, retirement was the sensible option but it was still disapointing that his career ended with a whimper.

the difference between an ATG like barrera and hamed was that barrera came back stronger than ever from those jones loses and gave us great fights against some of the best competition available. hamed put on one lousy performance after the barrera fight, and was never to be heard of again in the boxing world.

The naz that faced Barerra was not a prime naz.

I hated the guy but under Brendan Ingle he was amazing. Once he left Ingle he was never the same boxer.

A primer Hamed under Ingle KO's Barerra as good as Barerra was.

MAb was way way past prime and he still gave a great fighter JMM a good scrap... somethought he won.

    Now thats a great fighter.

Was NAS of MAB less prime than the MAB of JMM? Very tough question

The biggest difference is after Junior Jones, MAB went back and refined his style from action banger to a boxer.

Naseem went off and sulked into oblivion.

Hamed believed his own hype and when confronted with a boxing lesson, had no answer for MAB.

    MAB is vastly superior.

Consider the three Morales wars came well after the Hamed and Jones fights - That evidences all you need to know.

MAB beat Naseem very clearly, but the fight was still relatively competitive, especially in the first half.

I scored the bout 8-4 Barrera, with the point deduction that would be 115-112. Far from a shutout like people act like it was.

Tactical brilliance from MAB, no shame for Naseem, he was not exposed, he just beaten by an ATG who was certainly in the zone that night and had his number, but Naseem didn't give a bad account for himself either as he clearly took 4 rounds off of MAB and made MAB work for the victory.
