Not sure I get your point. I'm just saying that he tends to get underated because of his arrogance and hyperbole. So yeah, he over hyped himself. I also don't think he was an atg, he was damn good but not quite on that level.
Tell me what could a "well prepared, well focused, blah, blah" Naz have done differently? MAB was beaten by Jones, yes, but MAB came back from the 1st loss and almost beat Jones in the rematch. He continued his career and beat better fighters than Jones. That shows that MAB improved over the 1999 version. Hamed, on the other hand, lost to MAB who is by far the best fighter he fought. There is no sign whatsoever that he could beat MAB nor any fighter of MAB's caliber. The Hamed in there is the exact same Hamed we all saw, the only difference is that he was against a superior fighter whom he can not clown against in the ring.
Barrera got away with things in that fight from good old Joe Cortez. Like when he rammed Hamed face first into the ring post and didnt get a warning let alone a point deduction. Cortez is big on favourites though, he gave Holyfield 19 seconds after he was knocked down by Bowe!
barrera got a point deduction for that move, he could afford it though cause of his lead. the only thing he got away with in that fight was assault.
When are you ****nuts going to realize that when a British fighter loses his first fight....then he is 'EXPOSED' for the bum he always was. It's the American way.
Hamed was 27 yrs.old when Barrera schooled him...i don't think Hamed was already shot or old then...that's why he lost that fight. Hamed=HYPE
MAB simply beat him, and no he was not exposed because i dont think anyone that time could have done what MAB did, even if they knew how to do it. Knowing how to do it, and actually doing it is very different.
What fight did everyone watch exactly? The one I saw ended with a cautious tactical Barerra winning by a comfortable margin, but nowhere near a schooling, one which ended with 'no defence' Hamed on his feet and unhurt. = exposed ? som people need to learn how to add up!
