Every world class sportsman has their time, during his Naz was thrilling and brilliant,to add to his natural athletic ability and reflexes he had a punch that would fell a horse in both hands.....by the time he met Barrera I think he had lost some motivation......it happens.Against Amir, who I like it wouldn't have lasted long and it wouldn't have been pleasant.
I made that post in 2008. That was before the Maidana fight...in fact it was before Khan even beat Kotelnik. Like many others, I was impressed with how Khan survived in the Maidana match. He deserves respect for that one.
Naz would have made the Prescott fight look like a long affair. The knockdown would have been about as quick as the Said Lawal kd but Khan would have stayed asleep lol
Khan is a welterweight and Hamed is a natural bantamweight, how can he hurt Khan? If Naz was in a fantasy matchup with a slow welterweight he may have chance, but Khan is way bigger than him and faster than him ,and at Welterweight, will be the bigger puncher
Khan wins. On hearing the news of the Ali Snackbar attack in Reading last night, I hope people like Amir and Naz become more vociferous in their condemnation of such despicable acts. Every life matters
Never thought about this fight before but its a great idea! . Im assuming it would have to be made at LW.......during both mens peak...which is fine..naz goes up from 126 to 135 and amir drops to 135 from 140. Khan was a lightning quick LW .His whole career he has rushed in and fought an amateur style.I dont think the Prescott wipeout was proof of a bad chin.More a poor boxing IQ. Up to 140 only once did the rushing in proof calamitous. He suffered lots of knockdowns but generally speaking it was only until Garcia sparked him out his chin suffered terminal damage...his chin at 135 wasnt bad and was protected by his phenomenal heart, courage and will to win at that stage of his career......he had great stamina and workrate at 135........I think this is a fascinating fight...almost impossible to predict without deep thought.......I think Hamed carries his speed and power up to LW and he had good movement and punched from every angle a bit like Aaron Pryor and its not a long shot he knocjs Khan out with 2 or 3 shots......i think the FW division Naz ruled was incredibly weak compared to the 1980s or now but Hameds big 6 wins...johnson.,Kelly, Robinson, Hardy,Medina,Bungu are solid but not as impressive as Alexander,Judah,Maidana,Malignaggi,Diaz,Collazzo...he could hit Khan quite easily rushing in...but Barerra apart he never fought a man like khan with that blistering speed and stamina and workrate ...the question is can Amir have a sensible IQ for 12 rounds....if so conceivably he could outwork naz get him permanently off balance on his back foot, box his ears off like barerra did...until Crawford .....Khan had never been outboxed...he looked very good against canelo and garcia until he got sloppy...Peterson was v close on an off night and i think amir won that one.....khan simply had no inside fighting game and attacks in straight lines while naz was an angles man...but my prediction is amir outboxes Hamed over 12...and humiliates hamed by a distance....hamed will look a lot like tge Barrera fight
