It clearly was, Arran. Hamed was drained of all of his confidence after being out-boxed in front of the world, and he could never operate at the same level again. Either that, or he was shown to be lacking the character to rise from a defeat, whereas MAB had to do that on several occasions already. It's what separates the truly great fighters. It's not enough to just be talented, you have to have character, and Hamed didn't.

Oh look, Hamed clowning a fighter who wasn't fit to carry MAB's jockstrap. The only thing this proves is that whilst Hamed was going to get beaten badly by the very best in the world, like MAB, he was always sure to to look like the next Ray Robinson against the Badillo's of the Boxing world.

His timing was atrocious by all accounts against Carlos Contreras in sparring for Barrera. He was getting beaten up.

Hamed just didn't have the passion to train for fights any more. Its like a X graph; his training and motivation went down while the competition level went up.

    Off topic but...

Any other boxing documentaries like this? Besides 24/7 of course, I really enjoy real life boxing docs.

I became a fan of boxing because of Hamed. And I have a number of mates who got into boxing (watching/competing) because of Hamed.

There was a James Toney one in about '94.
