Vazquez is a far superior fighter than Hamed. But, he was there to be hit sometimes. That could be his undoing against a puncher like Hamed. One lapse in concentration and it could be lights out for Israel. Would be a fun fight to watch. Could be a lot like Hamed-Kelley, but I think Vazquez is a little better than Kelley, and on his best night could get the Win.
At 122lbs Naz still enjoyed outboxing opponents, and making them look dowmright silly at times, of course he could still punch when the mood took him..At Feather he fell in love with his power and the Ko became the Aim (along with the Ring Entrance Pantomine ) At 122lb i like Naz's boxing Approach to Frustrate Israel and he may touch down curtesy of a weird angled Shot, but he will keep coming, and a Naz not yet seduced by the knockout would i feel be happy to clown and face pull and Chin-tap his way to a points decision, Leaving Israel shaking his head wondering if he's just been in with a boxer or Limbo Dancer..
I hated Hamed 's attitude but I think he would win this. Vazquez was too defensively deficient. Hamed would outspeed him and possibly stop him in his tracks on numerous occasions. I think Vasquez would go the distance though.
Except Barrera didn't walk him down. He spent the entire fight circling away from Hamed, picking his spots & fought the most disciplined, strategic fight. Vazquez could only fight one way. LOL @ this.
I don't rate Hamed that highly but his power makes him a danger in any fight. Even a warrior like Barrera adopted safety first tactics against him. Vazquez can win if he doesn't get careless but all it takes is one mistake and he wasn't always hard to find.
