Hamed clearly ducked McKinney in 1998 and went back to fighting hasbeens after his life and death struggle with Kelley. If they had fought in 1998, would Hamed have knocked McKinney out?
I think he probably would've. McKinney was good, but his best win over Barrera came mostly due to a superior stylistic matchup for Kennedy.
What do you mean Hamed clearly ducked McKinney ? Based on what exactly ? McKinney was never rated in the top 10 when Hamed was champion and he could barely put a win streak together between 1996-1998. You also say Hamed went back to fighting hasbeens after the war with Kelley ? But Hamed beat Bungu after the Kelley fight who beat McKinney twice so what you're saying makes no sense.
McKinney was a super bantam while Hamed was at featherweight so I don’t think Hamed was ducking him at all. I think Hamed takes this at that point of their respective careers.
