What can you tell me about this fight, Is there any footage of it? How did the prince carry himself did have any resemblance to the pre Barrera Hamed ?
All I know is it was a disappointing UD by the Prince. His speed, reflexes and confidence had apparently gone. He wasn't the same fighter. That's all I know though. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAkv9G4dy7M[/ame]
The unbeaten aura of invincibility was gone as was the hunger, desire and will to train. An absolute shadow of naz in his prime, very disappointing performance and a shame that's how he chose to go out.
He really did look like he "couldn't pull the trigger" any more in that fight. IMO, he should have campaigned at 130 before hanging up the gloves.
He was awful. I can't remember the exact words, but in his post fight interview, he basically said the booing crowd were clueless. They were chanting "what a load of rubbish" while waiting for the scorecards.
brendan always said by the time he had left him the desire had gone and by this point not only his desire but his hands too, horrid ending for a legend
Hamed was something special but take away his creativity and explosiveness and he had little else to fall back on.
his whole attitude stunk the place out didn't it. just admit u were subpar. but he didn't. and he never announced his retirement. just silence after this fight.
I don't wonna speak for Jeff, Los. but i think he means he didn't have the fundamentals under him to adapt and have a "second career". With fighters like Naz once the athleticism/reflexes start to fade and you can't bail yourself out with that mule punch then reality sets in.
