Naseem Hamed vs. Manuel Calvo

This fight annoyed me immensely. It was soooo pointless. Hamed got clowned by Barrera and was busy licking his wounds. He took this bout against a nobody non puncher was completely disinterested and then never turned up in a boxing ring again. It was a very poor way to leave the sport. And im sure this nonsense was on PPV.

 

I won a good packet on the fight. Calvo was tough but poor; Hamed was finished but incapable of getting beaten by him. I had a lump on Hamed winning on points.

He was dreadful but had mentally gone many moons before this (and certainly before he got done by Barrera).

 

I heard that Hamed had some cosmetic work done on his teeth before this fight!
