Hamed's not gonna coming back. If he didn't by a few years ago, he's not gonna now. I remember reading an article of him saying that his punching power was gone before he retired. That and his current condition now show that he just can't do it.
I was actually personally curious, I didn't consider it genuinely interesting classic material, and figured classic would give me far more educated answers. So kiss my ass. :bbb:tong
No nothing to be ashamed about ,though I did win a few ££££, when he got schooled. His driving actrivities are something to be ashamed about though, imo.
Hamed will not come back. He's financially sound, he made a lot of money & invested it wisely. The credit crunch may have effected him, but who has not been effected by it? He's wealthy, has an attractive wife, with whom his has children. He does not have the desire to train, let alone the desire to comeback. Who knows, if he ws skint, then maybe he would consider it! If he did, any weight above 130lbs he would not be effective & I'm not sure he could get down to SFW! When there were regular rumours about a possible Hamed comeback, i believe at some stage, he did seriosuly consider it, but realised in his heart, that he did not want to Box again!
BINGO! You got it. And when Ingle said Hamed was no longer training properly and then Hamed fired him, the writing was on the wall that Hamed was on his way downhill.
Funny how with hamed and Herol Graham it's always emphasised how leaving Ingle was the key in their decline. I tend to think it was either a general lack of dedication and inherent stylistic flaws that did them in...more so for HAmed than Grham, who simply had some seriously good fighters in the same division. As well the increase in competition.
when the trainer who has been with you from the very beginning, with whom you have had nothing but success, says you are no longer properly dedicated and training right, and instead of listening, you fire the guy who has been there, who has always been there for you and been honest, and has your best interest at heart, that says something is about to go wrong. Hamed was what he was. Trying to change that when he was already full stream into his championship career could do nothing but hurt him, not help him. And even if he did get a "better" trainer, the fact that he did it at a time when his trainer said he was slacking, says a lot. Quite frankly, I don't think Hamed's performances were as impressive after Ingle as they were before. Hamed started running more, throwing less, relying more on one punch power. Worked good enough to win several fights, but caught up with him against Barerra.
Graham invented the Ingle style though, it wasnt Brendan. He was also in a who needs him club, avoided by his big domestic rivals and fighting head to head ATG monsters like McCallum, Jackson and Kalambay Hamed becoming lazy had more to do with his decline than him leaving Ingle, if he worked hard and even worked with Bomber Graham he would have done far far more
