As you rightly say, Gamboa has only had 17 pro fights!!

It is way too early to consider him h2h with Hamed, but if we do so then Naz via ko imo.

The time to consider this is in a few years, when we see "Prime" Gamboa (Who looked fantastic the other evening btw), so maybe this should be resurrected then?:).

No it isn't, because you can see how he fights, how fast he is, how good his balance is, how good his power is, footwork, all those things.. We have not seen him tested in dark places, but that doesn't mean we can't rate him h2h.

I agree Rhino mate, Gamboa is most certainly a guy to watch right now, he has so much potential!!

The time to ask this question is in a couple of years, when we witness "Prime" Gamboa, and it may very well be that my opinion is different then, but the question has been posed today, and imo Hamed ko's Gamboa.

I don't see the problem in what he's saying. His style is somewhat like Pacs and nothing wrong in saying he would defeat JuanMa and Naseem, i think he would aswell.

Amazing that a bunch of nuthugging Gamboa fans think he would KO Hamed...a man never on his arse for more than 2 seconds his entire career and only ever down due to being off balance, this glass jawed joke Gamboa would be sleeping with one decent Hamed shot.

What makes you think he has a glass jaw? He has had a couple of off-balance KD's, but don't call him glass-jawed until we have seen him as that.

You make some excellent points regarding Gamboa and I do not disagree with the man's talent or potential but in Hamed we are talking about one of the hardest punching featherweights of all-time!!

How does Gamboa act when he is caught by a big puncher? As you rightly say, we don't know!! And just how does he react when "Tested in dark places" as you put it? We don't know!! And the fact is that Hamed would have hit him with a massive shot, no doubt about it and "Tested him in dark places" so i'm being fair to a very talented fighter and saying "Let's not get too carried away" he has had 17 fights, let us see how good he is after 27!

As I have said my opinion today is that Hamed would have ko'd Gamboa, who is a novice professional (Though incredibly talented), in a few years my opinion may be that Gamboa hammers Hamed, who knows? I guess that is down to Gamboa:).

Gamboa look great going forward but his chin is hanging out , unless he gets to Naz early he would sooner or later walk on to one of those , from the floor , behind the back lead uppercuts.

4 fights in 17 has he suffered off-balance KD's where he got right back up afterwards.

I don't see the relevance in your other point.

Down 4 times, and aginst who? Nobodies! Hes being hyped so badly its unbelieveable, all its doing is getting him in a position for a might fall (Lacy style). Bare in mind Gamboa is already the age now at what Hmaed retired. Head to head upto the age of 28, Hamed is by far the better boxer and achived much more too.
