I would predict gamboa to win the early rounds. His speed and fluidity would cause Hamed problems. However, I'd predict him to get sloppy mid-rounds. He's been known to drop his hands and become all too casual on occassion. If this were to occur, then he'd be brutally knocked out against one of the hardest hitting featherweights of all time. Naz KO'd people with glancing blows.

Do you understand nothing? It's been off-balance KD's and it came due to him getting reckless. He's dropped that element in recent fights and have not been put down. Pac was down too in early fights. He had to learn a bit, he has, and he is ready to go now. Also, one KD was from an elbow, making in three.

Please go watch him fight.. He is no Lacy, his speed is in the top 3-5 in the boxing world today, and that alone can bring him a long way.

Achieved more, yes, due to Gamboa being in the amateurs for a longer time, winning the olympics and what not.

Better boxer? You can't conclude like that. IMO Gamboa is the better boxer and has much more talent than Hamed.

And that was my point, people here voting for Gamboa to KO Hamed, a man who has never been put down other than when off balance, and never down past the count of 2. So what makes people think this guy can KO hamed, and can take a puch of the hardest hitting feather in history when hes been down many times aginst feather-fists!

Hamed would stop the completely open Gamboa. In his prime he was pretty damm fast and elusive himself.

Two slips, one from an elbow forearm combination and one legit KD.

I don't think he'd beat Hamed but the amount of dislike for Gamboa is on a new level of ridiculous.

Never been convinced of Naz's supposed 'greatness'. I think Gamboa would straight up CRUSH the dude myself...

I guess i'm looking at this fight in a bit of a simple sense. Hamed has more power. Gamboa is faster but I think the disparity in speed isn't that great. Hamed has the better chin because you have to give the duke on chin to the guy who took punches from Barrera and never touched canvas. Gamboa has the skill to beat Hamed but I think he'd fight the wrong fight completely and get "drowned" by The Prince.

Hamed's power would probably be the ace that gets Gamboa in the end. To beat Hamed you need:

    A) A good defence.

    B) A good chin.

    C) The ability to hold back and box rather than getting too excited and going all 'gung ho'.

I think Gamboa fails on A, has questions hanging over B, and certainly doesn't pass C. I think he could floor Hamed, because lesser fighters managed it, but Hamed would get up and Gamboa, excited to end the fight, would start throwing those combinations while moving forward, and he'd walk into a big bomb. No one slugs with Hamed. You gotta box him, and even Barrera was wary all the way through the fight -- even when he staggered Hamed he sometimes backed off or didn't go in for the kill.
