Really? Hamed's personality stinks if you ask me. He wasn't hated by many for his boxing ability was he. I remember the Calzaghe/Eubank fight. I was absolutely discusted with the way he conducted himself. Sat at ringside, shouting, taunting and baiting a legend in the middle of a fight.
I think there is a difference between personality and persona. Remeber, Hamed was popular in a time, the mid 90's, when it was thought of as 'cool' to be cocky and arrogant.
wasnt reffering to his skin colour Hamed is Yemen, Khan Pakistani thats like saying Germans and English are the same. he was reffering to Muslim brother, all I know is Allah got his ass kicked when he faced Barrera.
haha, hamed was such a jackass. It was sweet watching Barerra wipe his ass with him. My favorite part was the infamous "face first into the turnbuckle Ric Flair style" The nature boy! whooooooooo!!!
You should de activate your account with ESB after coming out with that mate !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Naz was awesome, the best showman in the ring in the last 2 decades. love him or hate him, he brought drama.
i thought roy jones is a better showman plus i got to watch boxing not an idiot on a flying carpet i can watch aladin if i want to see that
I know some of you might find this hard to believe, but that picture of Naz is actually flattering compared to ones of him 2 years ago. He has lost about 2 stone (28 lbs) since then. However, why not? The man entertained like few others have and lived the fast life (in more ways than one unfortunately) earning millions in the process. He got complacent, met a ring legend on a mission and his career was finished - but you can't begrudge the man the legacy that most boxers seek - that of being talked about for years and years afterwards. Hamed disappointed ultimately because he never reached the height and global fame a man with his talent should have done (with a little more discipline and less complacency) - but he left a legacy of fights that few will ever forget.
