I believe that if Hamed had stayed with Brendan Ingle and not believed his own hype, not training properly, generally being a complete ***** and relying solely on his KO power to win fights towards the end of his career that he would have gone down as an ATG no doubt. It's a shame that a lot of Americans never saw how good he really was because even though he was still entertaining and showed off his KO power over the states he left all his true talent behind in the Ingle Camp. Suarez and Steward couldn't handle him and that complete farce when they were swapping corners between rounds summed it all up for me. I was a massive fan but can't say I was disappointed to see him get what he deserved against Barrera as his arrogance got the better of him in the end. Hamed in his prime though would never have been humilated like that against Barerra and would probably have knocked him out. Such a shame how he ended up atsch
MAB would beat Nas 9 times out of 10. NAS vs MAB was not even close. NAS was overrated and got exposed
Naz maybe able to KD MAB but never KO. MAB isnt the type of fighter you can just KO with 1 big punch.
Well your opinion doesn't mean much seeing as all UK fighters accoring to you are bums anyway. I bet you never saw Hamed at his best.
A prime and trained Hamed was a match for anyone and a joy to watch. Speculation of what he could have achieved, is just that, because he self destructed due to a personality weakness. In much the same way as Tyson, his personality weakness let him down, and meant his talent was never fully realised.
ATG is a bit extreme but he could have been far better than he was. Had undeniable talent and could have achieved greatness but who cares whet he 'could' have achieved. He didnt because he was a tit. Far better to focus on people like Hatton who make the most of what theyve got than idiots who throw it all away
Hamed is one of the most talented fighters. He's like Zab in that he didn't do his talent justice -- it's further proof that, in this sport, talent just isn't enough. It doesn't matter how much you have. If you don't have heart or ring intelligence to back it up, you'll never become a legend.
