Naseem overrated?

I think people marveled at his athleticism and physical gifts but I don't think anyone is overrating him. I don't hear anybody calling him an ATG.

 

Ridiculously overrated. He was an average fighter who looked good against poor competition. When he stepped up against top competition, he was made to look foolish.

 

well mike tyson only ever beat one world class fighter in mike spinks and an old man in larry holmes which doesnt count but hes rated highly amongst most , prince was a good fighter and morales and barrera both ducked him for a long time

 

He won several rounds against Barrera, Barrera failed to drop him.

End of the day it was one Nas's last fights after what a 20 year career.

He could of easily had a bad day, lost the desire for this fight etc.

 

One of my favourite fighters used to love watchin him.

Dont care how people rate him, the mans a one off

 

Closer to underrated than overrated.

You dont see many guys as good as him past or present but because of his showmanship, charisma and cockyness he had a lot of haters and that goes against him.

People just wanted to see him lose and it doesnt matter to them that it wasnt close to the best version of NAZ that lost to Prime MAB on pts, he'd taken his eye off the ball bigtime by then after splitting from Brendan Ingle etc.

 

They were both 27 years old when they fought, Naseem was exposed... Case and point, he was a hype job. He one maybe 1 round against Barrera and that was because of point deductions.


Barrera used Naseem to clean his ***** with, and I was there to witness it :happy After delaying the fight like NAS did he got what he deserved

 

Shouldnt go against MAB either, i dont think NAZ would ever be stopped, when he went down it was due to being off balance.

NAZ is a legend and better than many ATG's.

A lotta people get hooked up on overrated & not HOF worthy, etc etc. Basically any of the greatest or HOF fighters only had a handful of elite competition with exception to the golden era. That is why Tyson is inducted, and thats why Prince Hamed will be considred great although he retired way too soon. I'd love to have seem him in with some more of the better guys in the division.

Too late now...he's a fat cow!

 

This sums it up, doesnt matter about all the haters talking nonsense that they dont really believe.

At the end of the day there hasnt been anyone in the game like him before or after, you cannot replicate the Prince. :good

Just like Tyson he got so full of himself he stopped training properly and was dependant on his power alone to win fights. He was a great fighter! Absolute entertainer with a great array of skills. MAB fought probably the best fight of his career also.

 

Naseem had a lot of swag maybe not greatest but sure had a good mouthpiece!!!
