Nah. He got interviewed on Friday fight night during the Rhodes fight, he's huge, face as wide as a bus.
He just got interviewed again. Naz got asked about a comeback, said he ain't ruling it out. Then the Interviewer said 'Naz has still got fire in his belly and that's a big belly now' He said 'After 21 years of training, after 21 years of killing myself, I'm raising three children, and of course I'm eating' :rofl Great interview, was on good form.
I love Naz. He looked really chunky, but he said the kind of thing he always says - he's never retired, he deserves to enjoy life after his boxing (he is tres chubby). For some reason, I'd love to see Naz back. It'd be a train wreck, but the man got me into boxing in the first place, and I can't help but love him for that.
Naz still is a very vain man, if he wasnt then he wouldnt be talking as though everyone gives a damn about a come back that will never happen,,, plus i think his mrs is a dog(just my view)
I loved Naz at his peak, but he showed what he was by ducking out after his loss. One nothing fight and when his swing for the fences style (that he had adopted instead of what made him great) did nothing he got pissed off with the fans. He then quit the sport without ever trying to redeem his loss and thus gave people the ammo to say he was hype etc when he was not. I also can never get my ahead around how a pro athlete can look themselves in the mirror as an obese wreck when they are only in their 30's.
Its called getting older my man! The prince is a year younger than me, & like hamed I was a skinny ******* in my 20's. But like Hamed I am happily settled with my missus, & as the years roll past & you get older the weight just creeps up on you... Its a comfort zone thing. We cant stay 9 stone all our lives.
Im 6 foot tall, 14 stone & 35 years old. I should be about 12 & a half stone, but to be honest I just cant find the willpower to burn off my excess weight! I had to almost starve myself to get to 12 stone for my sisters wedding last year, as Alex ferguson says, when you reach your mid 30's its the 'thickening stage' & I have to agree with the old ****! Im eating in sypathy with Naseem Hamed.
