My coach has been showing me some good combo's, some simple, others are more difficult to throw.

It has me paying closer attention to the stance and execution of the fighters on TV, and is giving me a new appreciation for unusual combos that the opponent doesn't see coming.

We had an Olympic contender from our gym move on to Colorado in 04 by KO'ing an opponent with a Lead upper, lead hook, lead upper combo.

I've been working on it, but its not easy to throw.

Another classic in the Tyson, right to the body/right upper/right upper. In his documentary Tyson said its most effective if you slip their jap, side step to cut off the ring, land to the body, then the upper cut isn't excepted and can land.

Watching some old tape of him recently I see him working that combo over and over, and the announcers acting like they have never seen it before. Now its a staple and classic Tyson.

What are some that you know of?

IDK but you would probably have to be really ****ing fast to land three right hands in a row.

Either that or boxing a 4 year old.

Apparently, its about angles and landing the punch they don't see or expect. You throw a left, they are probably expecting a right, after the second left they are probably still not expecting a third left.

Either way, you can see a triple right uppercut in a barrage of punches @ around 3:45 here:

The good ole fashioned 1-2 is still king. An amazing defensive and offensive combination.

what weight/division are you in? imo it depends upon your weight class. combination punches is different in fighting fast opponents or against slow, powerpunching ones because you have to mind your offense and defense while throwing combos...

Faint few times to the body, right over the top. Not really a combo but works more often than not for me.

    1-2-3 to the body-3-2
feint jab to the body, 1-2
on the inside 4 (r. hook) to the body, r. uppercut to the head, followed by a 3 (one of tyson's best combinations)
1-2- long left uppercut to the head-2....make sure to keep ur chin down on the long left uppercut and ur right ready to block a counter hook

These are some of my favorite. I think these are more suited for taller fighters though...

Oh yeah...you can't go wrong with a 3 to the body followed by a 3 to head (Watch Chavez Sr.). Also 3 to the head and 3 to the body (Micky Ward was sick with this two-punch combo)

Ive always been a big fan of that punch too
i dont know if anyone else has noticed but he abandoned that combo since the Bruno 1 fight, i dont think i ever saw him use it after prison? correct me if im wrong

also, the combination number for that punch is 6-4,
Cus used to use the numbers for each punch and that combo is known as "The 6-4"
