Davies turned his back because he wanted out. Bottle job, quitter who only has himself to blame for anything that happened.

Oh I know I don't like getting hit I'll turn my back that instantly means my opponent should have the polite manners to stop throwing. Cos you know punches hurt sometimes . Then when I get off the ropes we can carry on right?

Oh dear, not a good thread this. You've gotta defend yourself at all times. It's as simple as that. Take a knee and then say no more. You can't just turn your back. Taylor was well within his rights to continue his assault on Davies, as was Mayweather against Ortiz. As for the fight itself, I thought Taylor was thoroughly exceptional and is possibly the best fighter Shane McGuigan has. One to watch for sure.

What a crap thread. If Ohara wanted to show he wanted out all he had to do was stay down where he was 20 seconds previously. But did he? No. He got up, clearly indicating he wanted to go on.

He was gonna get hurt or KO'd so he took easy route out. He knew it.

The only thuggish attack was from Howard Foster. Grabbing Taylor round the neck and scratching him very deeply with his nails. Where gloves you moron.

    100% disagree.
Taylor had every right to carry on, it was purely instinct that made him do it anyway. Also protect yourself at all times.

Davies showed us what level of fighter he was tonight. The biggest factor in this was speed, Davies was too slow at getting his punches off where Josh blocked them easily at times.
Great performance from Taylor. Bigger tests lie ahead.

The first punch Taylor threw was fair but he threw a couple when Foster was in between them trying to stop the fight but in the end there was no damage done, you shouldn't be turning your back on an opponent in the middle of a fight.

Taylor did nothing wrong. As others have already said, some of the first things you learn in boxing is to protect yourself at all times and never turn your back on your opponent.

In sparring if someone turned their back I would assume they were a novice that never had one fight. In the pros lol you get your head taken off .

If I turned my back I expect to be pulverized
